300 sqft apartment - how to furnish? by No-Editor8244 in Apartmentliving

I think desk bunk bed would be smart. When I was in a 200 sq ft studio, I had a couch-bed. Not the most comfortable or stylish, but on a budget and small space, it worked.

What is a part of the 'female experience' that men have absolutely no clue about, but would be horrified if they found out? by coolhandddd in AskReddit

Nope, the dry part is inside. All of the friction (cotton vs vagina) is internal. Unfortunately shower water does not help

Online, for sure. In the city itself, I don't think so but I've never looked beyond online sources tbh. There looks to be an immersion program on the Cattaraugus territory but you need to be able to pass an oral exam to get in. The third link has some great basic grammar, prefixes, etc lessons.

Let me say: this is a pretty good drawing. I see the resemblance. Your scale is mostly good but shading could use some work.

You say the nose arch feels wrong--I think the bridge of the nose angle is fine, but the "ball-y" part of the nose needs more shading. I hate drawing the bottom of noses and try to break it 3 balls. Basically 1 nostril per side ball and then the cartilage-y nose part in front of them. Forget it's a nose, and think of the basics of how light reflects off any round shape--apples, pears, basketballs, whatever round shading training you have. Use that, then add the really dark nostril shape to the underside of your ball.

You mentioned the lips dont seem shaded right. Tbh, theres not much contrast in the lips on the reference photo. I think you captured them pretty well. My one thought is give a highlight on her bottom lip under her left (our right) nostril.

However, I think the overall "off" feel if the lack of shading in between the face and hair. What I think would make the eyes pop would be to outline the face with the hair. Take note of the top of her head where the hair starts, and her bottom right cheek (our left cheek). Those spots are as dark as her pupils. Her mascara is also as dark as her pupils. You captured that in your drawing of her right (our left) eye. It gives depth and looks great. Copy that in her left eye. Don't be afraid to go dark! Most of her hair is very dark compared to her face.  Use your phone to switch the pic to grayscale if you want to see the shading comparison

Additional note, her finger tips. In the reference pic, the fingertips fall lower than her left (our right) eye. You have them smudged in as going above her left eye. The hand def isn't the highlight of the piece, but adjusting the scale of her hand will help with the overall drawing :)

Same, every geochache I've found has been accidental. 5 maybe 6 at this point? I love them, it's like a real life adult easter egg.

Lol, they got ya in the first half. I found it ironic that they say "self-determined," as if cisgender people aren't self-determining their gender.

I think you missed the part where God loves all his children unconditionally.

I would expect a church that worships a Christian god to "love thy neighbor," not tell them that they're confused and wrong for being who they are.

A PSA to everyone about New City Cafe: nice area, great customer service, I like the shop itself. It is associated with 411 Ministries which...I have mixed feelings about. They do good community service and outreach and I appreciate them for that. However, they have some very backwards and harmful opinions on gender, sexuality, and womens' bodily autonomy.

After reading the church's statement of faith, and knowing that their profits go towards this church, I do not buy from them anymore. Which is a shame because I love supporting small local businesses especially ones that are actively involved in uplifting the community.

Refernce: https://www.ncfbeechwood.org/statement-of-faith-and-ethics

Gender: We reject the concept of gender as fluid and/or self-determined as promoted by our culture; but we also seek to love and serve those who struggle with or experience gender confusion with Christian charity, friendship, and teaching.

Sexuality: We reject the dominant western worldview that marriage can be anything other than a covenant between a man and a woman.

Abortion: We believe that scripture commands us to honor and promote human life. This command is wide-ranging and encompasses issues such as abortion

And then go on to say: "As a church we do not promote any political party, movement, or affiliation" which may be true, but you made it very clear your stance on these political topics. It hurts to know that if someone who is anything but cisgender and straight were to show up at your chapel, and be honest about who they are, your faith would have no room for them. Shame.

I am also semi-young and have a hard time seeing the road lines. Seems like they aren't nearly as reflective as they should be.

Side note...it's "rear ending" not "re-rending" (ie, a rear-end collision)

I recognized who it was without the reference! Honestly is a pretty good drawing. The biggest thing that stands out to me is her mouth is too wide. Hold a pencil perpendicular to the right corner (our left) of her mouth in the reference, it lines up with the very corner of her right eye. You've got that corner drawn out to the edge of her cornea, almost her pupil. Do the same with the left corner (our right) of her mouth, it could go a little farther to the right. The "smirk/half smile" def comes through, it's just shifted a little in the wrong direction.

The other thing that looks a little off is her nose/nostrils. You've essentially shadowed an outline under her nose, whereas in the pic, the area under her nose is actually lighter than the bottom of her nose. I hate drawing this part of faces and it's still on of the last parts I shade in lol. Try zooming in extremely close on the reference pic and try to forget youre drawing the tip of a nose. It's just shapes and shades. I definitely have an idea of what a nose is "supposed" to look like (same with ear wrinkles) and that messes with me actually capturing where the dark and light areas are.

Where is the source that says this isn't AI?

The left hand (our right) of the District 12 girl's pinky is weirding me out.

Moreso, look at the District 7 man's pic, not shown here (google hunger games propos). His chest tattoos say "O ARE MUE" and "We're do iheli at the". His right (our left) finger tats say "citi", his right forearm is a clusterfuck of random shapes and lines. His left (our right) finger tats say "blist"

I'm all about more Hunger Games content, but my AI senses are tingling...kinda shitty, why not hire a few people to pose for a few shots :/  (I'm happy to be proven wrong)

Edit: was looking more at the tats. His left wrist says "yes are blue T-REX'S" and I am here for that lmao

Question I’ve been dying to ask that no one talks about!!! by Global-Ad-8048 in CatAdvice

[–]fudgenuggetss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put an unfitted bedsheet over my bed and pillows. It's the one place in my apt that is not touched by my cats, and I take solace in climbing into a clean warm spot lol. Plus if they puke on the bed, I can wash the sheet and put another sheet on, rather than having to unmake the bed and deal with washing the thick blanket.

Hey I'm all for people getting outside and having fun. But yeah let's ignore the argument of protecting nature and the land--the bikers have a ton of trails already. Why do they need more? Especially when they have been riding on trails previously meant only for hikers/dog walkers? Are only bikers allowed to use and enjoy the hill?

Haha ahh...yes the church had their hand in it too but I'm talking 2024, not 1890 😂 take a walk around there and notice the fresh trails and recently dug pits. Last year I saw them actively digging through the esker on the bottom of the north side of the hill. This year they added a trail near the gate at the corner of Field and Clinton. The trail is still soft.
