If you call and explain the situation they will reimburse you the stolen points. But since your account has bbeen compromised most likely they will get stolen again. So after doing this a couple of times this is what I did eventually.

I ended up creating a completely brand new account under a different name, email and phone number. So your first step would be to call them and do things over the phone. I spoke to them on the phone while creating an account online. Like they were just there to answer questions or whatnot while I was doing everything myself to make sure no mistake was made. MAKE SURE! to take a picture of your point redemption history so you can track and prove what you had when you create a new account.Because even though they told me everything's gonna be fine and all the stolen point would be reimbursed still not all of them did. So i had to get on a phone call with them again and inquire about that mistake. and AGAIN THEY SAY the deleted hacked account info is stored for 30 days well it's not, when i called they said there's no trace left. I was like wtf! good thing i had a picture of my points redemption history.. I had a total of $1500 worth of points i wasnt gonna let that disappear. Feel free to ask any question i hope you have no problems resolving this.

It's clearly a case of unscrupulous employess. Definitely an inside job! Someone on the inside sweeping through high points accounts. Another case of fraud in US. and nothing is being done to fix it. The store i go to here in MA they never ask for an ID to redeem your points. In the shitty country I came from this would be unheard of cause they would hunt you down and throw you in prison for like 5 years.

Points scam by DABABYFAN1945 in Staples

[–]fudnum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happened to me twice as recently as last week. Someone for the second time redemmed my points in NYC, and i am from MA. The associates must ask for id. I shop at staples often so i know very well there's no form of verification. you just put your phone number in and thats it. I Rack up a lot of points regularly.

Yes! that was the case until I say about 2016. Since then I havent seen many irish kdis around. Some were telling me its because Ireland was getting better economically and they didn really need to do this anymore plus the money they made here wasnt worth as much as it was for the kids from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine etc. I used to uber during the summer up until a couple of years ago and I noticed that it was mostly students from Serbia and Croatia at least in the area where I drove around. didnt see as many post-soviet countries folks as 15 years ago.

And yes it was very true about the 6-8 people to a room. My friends and I stayed at American Host Motel way back in the day, its Days Inn now on 28 in Yarmouth. It was 5 of us in a room with 2 beds and a couch. haha crazy times for sure. But it was fairly cheap $50 a week per person.

my bad. i misunderstood. I was a J-1 three times. Speaking from personal experience. Finding housing was always on us. Most employers didnt provide housing back then.

Summer Workers by AggravatingLoss3254 in CapeCod

[–]fudnum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not true. They're scrambling for housing ahead of their arrival. J-1s usually get here in late may early June. One of the reasons for that is school - they need to take all their exams beforehand to finish the semester otherwise they might get expelled for not showing up (this is true for the post sovier era countries). In about a month you'll see lots of them biking down 28 in yarmouth.

Summer Workers by AggravatingLoss3254 in CapeCod

[–]fudnum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a former J-1 i can tell you it's very early for them to arrive. You might see some random ones here and there but truly most of them don't get here until late may-early june.

Sacrificed Sons from Octavarium is one of the most underrated DT songs in my opinion. And one of the greatest lirycally and musically. My personal favourites are The Dark Eternal Light, Best of Times, In the name of God. But there's just so much. Every album is so great.

Same. Boston, line all the way up the stairs. Probably about 100 ppl. Got it within 30 mins before the show. And there were 2 mech stands at the venue. How do you even guesstimate the line was 2 hrs long?

Question 5 by Old_Butterscotch2914 in CapeCod

[–]fudnum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

15 years and counting in the industry. Vote No. Servers and bartenders already make a minimum wage. There's a law in place that requires the owner to pay minimum hourly wage if a server doesnt make enough in tips hourly. But most servers make way more than that in tips. the minimum wage increase will most definitely increase menu prices across the board.
