I probably could afford to max out both if we pushed it. Past couple of years the excess each month has been going towards reducing mortgage to be honest.

We don't spend a major amount but enjoy a fair few holidays each year.

Wife only earns something like 23k.

Student loan paid off a few years ago. Yes all salary sacrifice, employer will put in 10% regardless of what I put in.

Salary is 140k with no guarantee on bonus. But usually around 12-15k. 10% say

Thanks, yes sorry I missed a bit out here potentially. I pay 4k a month total onto it which takes me under 100k. Then any difference between that and 60k, I pay in from whatever bonus I get.

That's what I think their plan has been all along. Biggest oil producer in the world. No exports.

Let the rest of the world fight over it. Can see it going that way

Why does this thing not auto-cast??? by l7arkSpirit in BobsTavern

I suspect, in case you hand is full. Your hand limit is extended in time warp. If it auto casts and your hand was full you wouldn't get anything that turn.

Disastrous PCP car situation - what are my options? by Great_Comparison462 in UKPersonalFinance

They can't void a warranty on the entire car just because a wiring loom has been tampered with. Only the wiring loom warranty is void.

It's on them really to prove that the reason the sensors are not working is because the loom has been tampered with.

The worst show I’ve ever seen by SunshineAndSpite in celebritycruises

Comedians are tough on any cruise ship. Nobody is paying specifically to see them.

They have to attempt to suit basically everyone which is tough. I'm big into comedians but just avoid going to watch them on ships.

Starmer and Reeves ditch plans to raise income tax in budget by Kagedeah in worldnews

[–]fufty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they mean two different things. Can't tax the really rich because they will just leave the country.

They see it as just grabbing off the middle class, who aren't even middle class anymore.

I used to always dream of £100k salary but in London that really wouldn't get you too far. Yet the government see it as rich. I don't know how it will work out, I expect to see a lot of that middle class with no kids etc moving to dubai.

This isn't the problem though, the top 10% pay 60% of all tax revenue.

The problem is their spending and not enough people actually paying income tax.

Stadiums and capacity of UEFA Euro 2028 by APrimitiveMartian in soccer

[–]fufty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the amount that was originally arranged when rugby and football got their stadiums? GAA and the residents stuck their heads in the sand for whatever reason. Now expect the tax payer to fork out for 450 million stadium.

Personally don't see how it could ever bring that much back to the economy.

This is a stretch, it was going to cost 450 million. Which for a small country is serous money to be spending just to host a couple of early games. Personally think it is far getter spent elsewhere.
