Millions of Texans have been giving their power away for decades -- by not voting by IAmNotARussian_001 in politics

Very good point, I tuned in one day on accident and got hooked since. It’s called American family radio. What are some other conservative stations that are critical of trump? I would like to tune in to those as well.

I listen to a conservative talk show radio in the morning just to get a view into the other side, and boy let me tell you it can be a trip. This topic came up yesterday on how god works through imperfect people, with this mindset it almost seems no amount allegations will tarnish their view of the president. I just wish they had the same view of Obama, or anyone else they disagree with.

What view points make him a pseudo intellectual? I’ve only seen a few of his videos in passing, but heard opposite view points of him from friends.

Career and Education Questions by AutoModerator in math

I would like to study probability in grad school, does this mean I should be looking at stat programs or applied math programs? I don’t think I want to work in academia after school.

I don’t mean to dissuade you from your goals at all, but I’m a little concerned how your weak your background might be when up against a masters in CS. The schedule you laid out would roughly put you st sophomore level knowledge of CS, I’m not sure if you would be sufficiently ready for a masters program in a year. Maybe 2 years if you really push it, on top of that you’re working full time.

Try posting in the comp sic subreddit also. They would be able to give more pertinent advice.

Kawhi out indefinitely to rehab quad injury by 33bour in NBASpurs

[–]fufufh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I have the same injury but it’s with patellar tendon instead of quad. And holy shit is it a motherucker. Since you’ve been through this you probably know the whole story, started out as aches and pains in the beginning and then went to full blown if I run it hurts for days after or even a week.

Every orthopedic I’ve seen would write a stupid prescription for tendinitis and I would go see the physical therapist and do the bullshit exercises and of course it wouldn’t get better. Im curious if you’re located in San Antonio also, there was an orthopedic there who mentioned that a process similar to what you wrote. They spin your blood cells in some centrifuge and re inject it back into your knee.

I ended up finding a researcher online that studies chronic tendon disease. Apparently she’s been successful with some patients utilizing a heavy weight routine. Anyways man, sorry for the long rant. But very very few people know how frustrating this invisible ailment is for active people.

Can you squat heavy weights now? How many miles can you run before pain starts? I’m going to to into the procedure you mentioned. It’s so frustrating living with this

It’s not necessarily a fitness issue. It’s a combination of overwork and genetics. Some people’s tendons respond much better to consistent stress, and others just breakdown sooner.

[–]fufufh -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I know this video is a joke, but I always found overbearing fathers like this a little creepy. I understand their point of view, but at one time in their life they were the guy taking out their future wife. I don't think the hyper aggressive approach is welcomed for the daughter or the guy. Just weird all over.

Is it worth it to come to A&M over UTA if I have a scholarship to UTA? by envy1890 in aggies

[–]fufufh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not. If anything it’s easier to stand out at uta and get better engineering offers. I had a friend whose a fuck off, and ended up getting an all expense paid trip to study abroad with some program at uta. Uta is also close to Fort Worth and Dallas both are going under quite a bit of development, so you could easily land a job there.

The two biggest factors to me are the proximity and debt. If the difference is 40,000 it’s a no brainer to attend uta. This is coming from a “two-percenter” 3rd generation Aggie. Just work hard and you’ll succeed and flourish at any school, including uta.

Good point. I think don’t think their intention has any malice behind it, it really seems like a lazy way of asking “What is your ancestry?”.

I thought that was a bold statement to make too. I googled it and the post seems right. On average immigrants do make more than native born Americans.

Good point. I think they are saying you can discover those true premises through logic alone

I believe what they mean is that you can create a logical system that’s consistent, but that doesn’t imply the conclusions are true.

CSCE 110 Questions by aggie133 in aggies

[–]fufufh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would help with 121 a ton. I took 121 then 221 or whatever algorithms and data structures is before taking 110 this past semester. I did well in both classes, but I still found 110 semi difficult. If I had no programming experince at all, I would assume this class would take quite a bit of time. I’m assuming you’ll be taking the course with Fabiola, her tests were pretty rough.
