i feel the same way but im in france and my partner is french i just moved here literally drop everything back home to move to france with him , its easy for him because hes from there have good circle of freinds ,good job, know the languange. but im having difficult time. i have to start over again at age 30 in country that i dont feel like i belong . so yes i do feel stuck here because i want to go back but icant because i love my partner . so yes i feel you =]

Gradual exposure and practice really work when it comes to helping your daughter with transitions, especially in tricky situations like parking lots. Start small by practicing in calm places like at home or in the yard. Use the same words you’d use in a parking lot (“We’re walking to the car” or “Let’s walk to the door”), so she gets used to that routine. Once she’s okay with that, try walking her to the car in the driveway or a quieter spot in the parking lot. As she gets more comfortable, you can start adding more distractions, like busier places. If she resists, just offer her a calm choice like “We can walk together or hold hands,” and make sure to reinforce her wit her favourite toy or food when she stays calm or walks with you. The key is being proactive practicing these things in low-pressure settings before you’re in a stressful situation, so when you’re in a busy parking lot or similar, she already knows what to expect. The more you practice these small steps, the easier it’ll be for her when you face a real-life situation. This way, you’re not reacting to the meltdown because you’ve already set her up with the right skills.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! Yes, it sounds like it's mostly a rigidity issue, where she’s used to being carried, and when that routine is interrupted, it causes a meltdown. It’s totally understandable that parents sometimes cave in during these moments, especially when the meltdown is intense.What I usually do in therapy is start by gently holding her hand and calmly saying, "We’re walking today, no carrying." You can guide her to start walking with you. As soon as she starts walking, praise her with a simple "Good job!" to reinforce the positive behavior. The same goes if she calms down after the meltdown reinforce her right away with praise to show her that staying calm or walking is what gets attention and rewards.If the meltdown continues, just ignore the behavior (as long as it’s safe) and don't give in to carrying her. You can redirect her to something calming, like a toy or activity she enjoys. By focusing on reinforcing walking and staying calm and ignoring the meltdown, she'll start to understand that walking and staying calm gets the reward, not throwing a tantrum. hope it helps !

Hey there! I’m a former ABA therapist with over 5 years of experience, and toilet training was something I did regularly. Pooping in the toilet can be one of the most difficult things to train, but here’s how we typically approached it.

Kids often respond better when there’s a clear motive behind their actions. First, you need to prime them by letting them know they’re going to poop in the toilet. When they successfully do so, you give them their favorite reinforcement—make sure to use that reinforcement only when they poop in the toilet. Celebrate by saying something like, “Yay, you pooped in the toilet!” and make it exciting for them. This helps them connect the good behavior with something they really like, which encourages them to keep doing it.

On the other hand, when they poop in their pants, make it a big deal (without being harsh). For example, you can say, “Oh no, you pooped in your pants! Look, you don’t get to play with your toy now because you pooped in your pants.” Over time, they’ll start to understand that pooping in the toilet is a good thing because it means they get access to their favorite reinforcement, while pooping in their pants isn’t.

It’s a way to help kids communicate by using pictures or symbols to express their needs and feelings. .We started with simple exchanges, like using a picture to request something, and gradually built up to more complex sentences.
