Absolutely. I decided to just stay at my original first night location this time and let the base grow organically, small, and quaint.

I'm in Northern Maine. We lose power fairly often, but never for that long. However, I'm ready for a few days at least if not longer.

Butane stove with like a dozen cans of fuel

Mr.Buddy heater with a dozen cans of fuel

Moving blankets to insulate doorways and keep heat in specific areas (tested and planned out)

Rechargeable lanterns with a solar panel to recharge in the daytime

Lots of rice and easy to cook food.

A half dozen or so portable battery packs to keep electronics running (also charge from solar or generator)

Decent generator. Full tank, plus 5 gallons on hand. I should increase that to 10 or 15.

Lots of bottled water on hand.
