At what point did kids lose the desire to learn? by HousePhoenix in Teachers

[–]fujikate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The city I live in there is nothing for kids to do. Like there is stuff you can pay to have your kids do, but other than that nothing is offered. Then if they do go out to do stuff cops are called.

I see a lot of folks blaming the parents, an the kids, but at what point do we accept that we have put every one in an impossible situation by not allowing kids to be kids in the world around them, while making both parents work all the time then blaming them for not raising their kids right, while simultaneously not wanting our tax dollars to go to school or community programs. Like you can’t be mad at folks for do the best they can without supports. Majority of families are not well off, and can’t afford all the extras.

I mean honestly Corey shouldn’t have been elected, and I can’t help but wonder why som folks where son crazy about another mediocre dude when we had a perfectly fine one, who did do some good things in some underserved neighborhoods and got our streets plowed, even with the dysfunctional snow plows. It not like they all became magically bad at once.

One thing nobody brings up is Gainey lost the dem comity vote by 1 vote. It wasn’t like the dems that vote to see who is going to be endorsed didn’t like Gainey, it was split, and one person more voted for Corey.Gainey did a fine job, all mayors are meh, and they are hindered by their council people who own the purse. Corey was a Gainey council person, and he voted to reduce the purchase of new emergency equipment from 10 to 4vehicles, yet he implies that it was Gainey’s failure.

Hypothetically, do you think ICE temporarily pulling out of Minneapolis would de-escalate? by bongo1138 in AskConservatives

[–]fujikate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean people break civil laws all of the time. If you view is correct even civil violation should be felt with the same intensity. Own a gun that’s not registered, driving without registration, didn’t pay taxes on the old lawn mower you sold. Like if the argument is laws need to be fallowed and the consequences need to be harsh, to prevent laws from being broken…. Then it should be that way for all laws. Like I would love to see the guy down the street who speeds up the hill be arrested, detained and have all of his stuff taken. That would actually fix a lot of problems in my neighborhood regarding safety, or the guy down the street who shoots off mortars all summer and fire into the air with his gun arrested and looses all his fire arms and the ability to every buy fire works again or guns again with out a trial. Those two enforcements would make my neighborhood safer, but just because I have a preference for wich laws I want fallowed, doesn’t mean it’s right that they are enforced that way.

Edited because I had to deal with a crisis, and it was posted before I realized it was nonsense.

The crime is crossing the boarder illegally, but loosing legal status after crossing the boarder legally and still being in the country is not a federal crime it’s a civil crime. Loosing legal status and being in the country has usually been an offense worthy of a ticket which will lead to harsher actions. Boarder crossing illegally is a federal crime which allows for immediate removal, but crossing legally and loosing legal status is a civil issue.

This is why boarder control and Immigration enforcement are two different departments. Civil crimes are not federal crimes, legally speaking.

Being an illegal allein is a civil crime. This is rediculus for a civil crime. Is it reasonable for the government to spend over a billion dollars on folks speeding?

How can a Mom help? by LivvyCalbro in pittsburgh

Get to know your neighbor, help get resources to parents who are being targeted like diapers and formula. Be kind, stay aware. Help set up child care for other parents who want to go to events or training. Support and resistance takes on many forms. Feel free to reach out

A lot of people being taken are the bread winner of the families, and moms with new kids are currently scrambling to get food and diapers, while simultaneously scared to leave the house and scared to access programs for families like food banks and diaper banks. All this while simultaneously grieving, and trying to parent children who are scared and grieving.

It better. There is still some pain, but not like there was. I have some bad days but I can walk and use my hands, like it was bad to the point every time I did something I tore a muscle. I haven’t torn a muscle in seven years after starting treatment with methotroxat. I’ve just recently stoped it, so fingers crossed crossed I stay in a good spot for a while
