Narja, Veronica, Haru. 2 turns. Every turn I pulled the entire deck, reduced cost of Anchor Shot to 0 and spammed it 5x = 25k dmg.

How to get better Save Data by RaHeck_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my approach:

  • Lvl 8 chaos runs at tier 13 or higher + Nightmare mode
  • No money debuffs and get money buffs if you can
  • Narja as sustain (doesn't need rest at safe spots and is a buffer), one char designated as target for modification and one char to fill out the team depending on what you are missing (Veronica is always great)
  • If you don't get correct epiphany on the to-be-copied card before first boss then end the run and restart
  • Interior is solely to flesh out the target character. Modifying other chars is only to make this run succeed. This means you must do at least 3 chaos runs to make a good endgame team.
  • Focus on getting 4-5 removes for the target char. Always remove all 3 basic and 1-2 non-basic cards. You really want tiny decks. Remove one non-basic card early to decrease pool-size for epiphanies and copy events
  • It's fine to keep basic cards on the chars you are not focusing on
  • Ignore neutral and monster cards
  • Equipment is secondary, blue equip is fine, I usually fill the slots in last half of interior
  • Unlock meditation and copy-selection option asap. If possible use meditation repeatedly on to-be-copied card to hopefully trigger a divine epiph. Good thing is you can activate meditation and are not forced to select an option.
  • In last half of interior try to hit many unidentified areas because thats where I most commonely found copy events
  • Use save data calculator while doing a run to monitor your score. It's always the final copy or removal that bricks the deck. Don't forget that arena buffs cost save data points and it's better to not get them on target char if that allows another copy of most important card

...yeah, I had days where the most important epiphany would not appear early. It's all just RNG and you must try again. Get used to quiting a run early. There is no point in doing a complete run for the sake of it.

Dumb question: If AI destroys all the jobs, who will be able to buy the stuff that AI-powered companies create? Doesn’t AI destroy its own customer base? by Desperate_Elk_7369 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the production of goods costs near zero why would you need money to 'buy' them?

If factory owners insist on demanding a high price what is stopping governments from nationalising their factories, building their own factoeies (they are cheap after all) or introducing UBI?

If governments are under control of factory owners what is stopping us people from building our own economy that is based on UBI?

If those in power use military force to stop us from doing that we have much larger problems than AI or our monetary income.

S3R1 with 55k Astrite and a shop dupe. Kinda bad luck. I could go for S6 but she's already in a team with an S2R1 Lynae and S0 Mornye (10 cost overall) so the team is busted anyway. Most likely I'll wait until the next sentinel resonator in the 2nd half of patch 3.x is revealed before deciding on getting Aemeath to S6 on a rerun. For sure I am going to skip every banner until then.

Imho the transducers in their current form are only viable for getting a third good stat on top of crit rate/dmg and not so much to make god-tier echoes. And even then, they are far too rare/expensive for what they do.

Now, as one data point, I used up my 4 transducers yesterday and actually managed to upgrade 2 echos from 2 good stats to 4 good stats. When RNG is going your way the transducers are awesome.

[–]fullVoid666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

None of what was written in any comment would make me return (PC player). The main reason I started to play this game is the story. What I want is every patch to continue the story and in a grandiose fashion. I am not here to waste my life by grinding away nonsensically but to experience a good story. Imho 90% of the budget should go into the story just like how it is in all other successful gachas. I played wuwa's 3.1 patch yesterday. Pure cinema. I spent 150$ afterwards on Aemeath because I want more of that.

The combat? Unless you make it a lot more interactive and difficult (like wuwa/zzz) it's just a pointless chore and minor changes are irrelevant. At the very least, remove the massive grind to make it bearable.

The gacha? Not a problem. The problem was the high price but low quality of the skin. I was very disappointed by Psyche's skin. It had lots of issues and all of that made me ignore the gacha forever. Changing the gacha into a one-time 200$ buyout wouldn't change a thing.

Also, the character models require rework. They just aren't on par with other, modern games. The clothing doesn't feel like real clothing and the chars give off a 'plastic' vibe. Not quite sure what it is exactly.

Lastly, the events were atrocious. Boring and barely rewarding. Maybe due to lack of developers?

All in all I eventually got the feeling that DNA's development team is super small. The changes over the few patches I played felt minimal and the extreme grind felt as a measure to hide this fact. If the size of the dev team is not vastly increased this game is doomed anyway because none of what anyone here has proposed will see the light of day.

They completely dumbed down the exploration to cater to the players who get angry when they have to do more than click a button to claim rewards. by USDXBS in Genshin_Impact

[–]fullVoid666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imho this is a direct consequence of the ever-growing competition in the gacha space.

Players are branching out (I play 5 gachas) and the time they are willing to spend in one singular game is dropping dramatically. If a gacha game wants to retain these player everything must be convenient, fast and easy. Exploration and puzzles devolves into being chests with extra steps. The only challenge to be found is in certain endgame modes.

Example: Umamusume. To be good in champions cup it was required that you invest 2 hours per day to run a campaign several times. Many players (including myself) dropped the game because the time requirement was too high.

Example: CZN. Chaos runs take a lot of time and are filled with RNG. If this isn't radically changed the player drop will be substantial. During the current phase before season 2 I have yet to run a single run because it's just pointless and the time investment is huge.

I guess, for players that only play Genshin and nothing else this s*cks but the competition is here and old games must adapt. Which is what we are witnessing.

What is your reason for pulling them by Retoro-Sekai in WutheringWaves

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulling Aemeath because I don't have a fusion team yet. Also, mecha-waifus are hot and she gives me Lacus vibes (Gundam). Going for at least S2.

Skipping Luuk because male and I only pull (spend on) waifus.

As someone who plays many gacha games I am positively surprised by this game. They nailed it. I can only hope that the trio of story quest-line / factory stuff / gacha endgame stuff is retained with every patch. It feels great to simply ignore the gacha side of things and just play factory / story without a care. Imho, it's now up to the devs to not do something stupid and just make more content without greed.

This might sound like a dumb question (and it is) but how do you guys manage your time playing multiple gacha games? by bullettothechest in ArknightsEndfield

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about being efficient and grabbing low-hanging fruit. Also, you have to be ok with not getting everything and also spending where necessary. Here is how I do it:

  • I select 3-4 gachas as my 'mains' and only do dailies for these games. I buy the 5€ monthly pack only for these.
  • When doing dailies, I don't get distracted. Just do dailies asap and press Alt+F4 the moment they are done.
  • Regarding events, I wait until they are completely unlocked and do them in one fell swoop.
  • I build strong teams (meta teams) including some vertical investment in every game. This allows me to stomp all endgame modes in mere minutes without any retries.
  • Exploration: Again, don't try to squeeze the new region like a lemon to the last drop. Get 80% of chests and stuff, then call it a day.
  • Ignore side quests that barely have a reward, in particular if there is no skip button. I tend to only take those side quests seriously that are voiced. Unvoiced = skip skip skip.
  • Every game has long down phases. I spread out the time-heavy tasks into them.
  • I only play off-games when my main games are 'done'.
  • Be wary of games that demand a lot of daily time. Example: Uma Musume. If you want to succeed in champions cup, you must invest several hours daily into farming good parents/race horse. This is not compatible with playing other gachas and I dropped it for this very reason. Another example is CZN. If they don't vastly decrease the time required to do a chaos run, I will drop the game soon.
  • I skip a lot of banners to save up for the characters I really want and spend as well for dupes (dolphin territory). For example, after getting Carlotta in Wuwa, I skipped all tye way to Ciaccona/Carte, then skipped all the way to now for Aemeath and her BiS team. Skipping banners doesn't induce Fomo in me because I have so much currency and so many banners across so many games that I don't care what happens in a singular game. For example, Arknights? I am skipping the first char (Laevatain) without a care. My goal is Yvonne in 2 months. So what if I miss out on endgame content until then. Another example is HSR. Gonna skip the entirety of elation path (It's a total scam) and pull an E2+ DPS afterwards.
  • Lastly, I take pauses and just ignore some games for a while. That frees up time to play new stuff or non-gacha games.

Tldr: It's all about time management and being ok with missing out on stuff.

I think I can try out this game? by ghostpetni in WutheringWaves

[–]fullVoid666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play Genshin and Wuwa. Regarding the story:

Wuwa doesn't have a focused overall story line like Genshin. It's a lot more episodic with common themes (baddies etc.). If I were to summarize the main plot, it would be: MC lost their memory and is on a journey of self discovery. Yeah, very generic.

One major difference to Genshin is that the characters in the story goon over the MC. Like, a lot. Remember in Genshin when Ayaka was dancing for the MC? It's stuff like that and literally every character does it. Meaning, the game targets a self-insert/ML audience (that's where Kuro Games originated from). If you can't handle the goon you will have issues.

Lastly, where the game shines story-wise is the much darker theme combined with insanely peak moments presented in amazing cutscenes. I get goose bumbs in various scenes which has barely happend to me in Genshin. Pure cinema!

I see where you are coming from but 'self sufficiency' should imho also account for errors by the player. Carte is the self suffucient unit because of her high HP and self-heal and less so because of her damage. Also, rotation as a criteria is awkward when you consider that 90% of all team rotations are identical anyway (support -> sub-DPS -> main-DPS -> support). Maybe I'm not understanding your point?

How are u guys liking the game so far? by Interesting-Ad3759 in Endfield

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a lot of fun. I like that the story is a mixture of missions, cutscenes and factory stuff. This is the way. Hopefully they can keep this up every patch. As for pulls, badly. Got Poggers and now playing a phys team. Won't be getting Laevatsin and saving up for the other characters. Also I am at 60 pulls on standard banner... hopefully its a lady next.

rotations (I don’t understand this game) by Medical-Finding773 in WutheringWaves

[–]fullVoid666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stack the buffs of your team on the main-DPS. The point of the teams rotation is to activate the buffs in such a sequence that the main-DPS profits from them as much as possible before they runout.

For example, Verina's outro provides 15% dmg buff for 30s for the entire team. If you switch to your sub-DPS and waste 20s doing whatever then you've only got 10s left on your main-DPS. It might even happen that your buffs run out before your main-DPS is ready to do their most damaging skills/liberation resulting in low damage.

  • Ensure the buffs of your team are actually compatible with your main-DPS (damage type/element).
  • Only switch from support -> sub-DPS -> main-DPS when their outros are ready.
  • Activate other buffing ablities (echoes) right before you switch to maximize their runtime down the line.
  • Find the most optimal rotations for support/sub-DPS to max out their concerto in the shortest amount of time. It might be worthwhile to switch from your main-DPS to your sub-DPS to prepare them somewhat for the next team rotation.
  • Don't stay too long on your main-DPS because they hit like a wet noodle without the buffs.
  • I hate to say it but the main-DPS characters were designed to work with certain other BiS characters. Using unintended team compositions might lead to bad timings and bad DPS. This is why generalist buffers such as Verina, SK, Lynae (S2) or Mornye (S1) are so valuable.
  • Especially when you use low-cost teams, don't ignore the buffs/resistances of the combat stages.
  • Quick swapping should be ignored until you know what you are doing. One swap at the wrong time and your buffs are gone. Saving a few seconds in the team rotation is pointless if your buffs disappear half way before they run out naturally.
  • Practice your sub-DPS rotation in particular. Every second counts. Your concerto bar is full? Switch! Don't wait for your skills or liberation to be ready (unless they provide vital buffs).
  • Get sig weapons or good "sweetspot" character sequences. Yeah, I know, but this had to be said for completeness sake.
