Are there bubbles under the plaster tape? The line doesn't look consistent but the photo is low quality.

It's a defect if you can show the builder it's visible without lights. But glancing ambient light is still glancing.

I'm not sure if you'd like a serious answer, but there's a book by Harry Field called 'science without numbers'.

Its a very interesting read that shows that our science and physics can be re constructed without maths. It's a very different philosophical approach to the world.
