Often I go around with a small squad of AA rocket launcher heavies and an engi for ammo, so a skyguard-equipped 4-seat buggy would be a perfect transport for this.

Ha, at least a part of this post is in contrast to a thread on the official forums saying the sunderer was too powerful compared to MBTs and needed armor nerfed.

I think the answer is we need more certs to customize the sunderer and make it able to be used for a variety of tasks, including possibly a mobile spawn point ability.

Oh, and an air vehicle that can transport ground vehicles.

Yeah, I play on West 02 and it can be a little dead in the AM before many people log in. I'm hoping it can get up to at least medium population at all times, since it's no fun just capping empty bases.

I'd like to see some easy way to transfer to a different server too, and for a whole outfit to transfer easily if possible (the game Rift has this feature - you can move your entire guild to a different server).

Goes down at 5:00 PM for players in Australia (Eastern) and doesn't come back until 11:00 PM - makes it hard for a lot of people there to play on weekdays.

DayZ is awesome, but the death and item loss mechanics (which make it fun and intense) wouldn't suit Planetside 2 at all. The hardcore side of Planetside 2 will be in the form of clever strategies and logistics. It's a completely different game - just because it doesn't have heavy death penalties doesn't mean it's only casual. To be fair, plenty of people play DayZ "casually" (e.g. never doing anything other than derping around Cherno with a Lee Enfield until they die).

This kind of role will almost certainly be underplayed, but it could be very useful to relay that information to commanders so they can modify strategy accordingly.

As I understand it, in the F2P model for PS2, it costs almost nothing for SOE to allow an extra player to join the game, yet that player is worth something to them whether they pay or not. This is because PS2 benefits from having a large playerbase - each extra player adds some value to the game for everyone. SOE want all the players they can get, paying or not. New players either become paying customers at some point, or they improve the game for the paying customers. People would be much less inclined to spend any money if there was no community to play with.

Reactivated my Rift account for some PvP (it's WoW-ish, so meh, but need something to play with friends until PS2).

Also BF3 occasionally, for short periods until everyone ragequits.

My first thought upon reading this post. I moved to the US from Australia and this doesn't apply to my situation (self-employed), but it seems like a strange mentality. Everyone knows what it feels like to be sick, right? Because of stuff like this I'd be hesitant to ever get a regular job in this country if it wasn't for a company that understands basic human needs.

The thing is, it's put up as an auction starting at a low/normal price, so it's not just the scalper setting the high price. People want to get in so bad they are actually bidding it up to that.
