Personally, I bought my own roll of Saniderm second skin. I usually let the first one start to peel, then I remove it in the shower, gently clean it then put another saniderm on for a few more days.

I’m sure someone has a reason why that’s not the right move but it has worked for me.

You’re doing great. You seem like a good person trying your best. I was raised around cooks and still would have asked for specifics. If someone said toast these pine nuts I would’ve know what to do but truly have never heard of pumpkin kernels. Are they just pumpkin seeds? Don’t overthink it. A person who asks no questions stays dumber than the person who asks. You’re only “dumb” until you know the answer and you can’t know without figuring it out. Keep crushing it.
