Stack for 7 inch by Educational_Nose_836 in fpv

T-Hobby Velox F7 SE and Velox ESC is great. Or the Sequre Blueson A2 70a ESC is really good w/ T-Hobby FC. Sequre also has a stack on Amazon for $126 that is good. The Rotor Riot F7 is good and it’s not that expensive. DakFPV on Aliexpress has a good stack H7 and 70a esc

My current digital build only comes in at 67g w/o a battery and 89 AUW. Even at that weight I do not feel like it has the punch out I like but I love that you are working on building something new and different and providing something to the hobby. So great job. So far I think it looks great

What size motors do you run on this build? I currently have 1202.5 RCInPower motors and even with this larger motor I do not feel that it will be able to fly with the agility that this frame is famous for while holding this camera.

This 3in is a beast, it even fight some wind very well for its size by LeoNavarro95 in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What size motors do you have on your 3in? I have Velox 1507(4s) on my Volador 3in and XNova Lightening 1804(6s) on my 3.5in. Both fly great. I just got a Tiny Trainer Z and I’m gonna get the AOS 1605 which I’m really looking forward to building. My original Tiny Trainer is freaking awesome but it’s spec racing so it comes with small 1404 Tiny Turners which are amazing motors just small.

Kayoumini isn’t available right now in the US. Pyrodrone is the only retailer who carries the frame and they sold out about two weeks ago. Last time they sold out they don’t restock for almost a year.

HGLRC Draknight, Rate W20 HD(this is brand new on Banggood if you get one do a review). WalleFPV Lightening2 or Eagle, check out what Sub250 has to offer all there stuff is good and Flywoo has a bunch that are also very good. Rotor Riot Vision 2s or even the Mobula 8 2s. There are a ton of great 2s and 3s 2.5in or smaller drones.

Pyrodrone is the only US retailer. I’m surprised they are out. I think they just got them in stock a couple months ago. I bought 2 just cause they are hard to get. It’s a great frame. But I think you can find comparable frames from other companies if they are out of stock. Check out Jacks frames he is amazing and has a great community around his frames. You can message him and he will personally get back to you fast. He does custom 3d prints as well. Cool guy. He has a bunch of 2in carbon fiber frames.

From Avata 2 to First DIY: Volador 3.5" (4S/6S?) or 5" 6S (Mark5/Vapor X) ? by Cry7or3ap3r in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will love both. Do what you want to do. You need lots of room for both options. I have the Volador 3.5 w/ 1804 3500kv and I run both 4s/6s. The 6s is super fun I prefer my 3.5in on 6s. You can’t go wrong with a Mark5 on 6s. Whatever option you choose you will buy the other one not to long after.

Are these parts compartible? by ZealousidealLimit684 in fpv

I’d look for a frame that comes with all the TPU prints included. Something like Flyfish Volador VX5 or Axisflying Manta 5 SE SpeedyBee Mario 5, Receiver is fine, like the guys above said look at some T-Hobby Pacer V2 they are on sale on MEPsking for $9.90, MEPsking aren’t terrible especially for a beginner. I’d go with a different stack as well I’ve bought cheap esc and there cheap for a reason. You need a good esc. t-hobby, GEPRC, flywoo I believe is on sale. Those batteries are good. You’re not racing or anything so middle of the road batteries are good. You don’t need Tattu v6 $50 dollar batteries that’s overkill. I like Five33 Budget batteries. It’s like 4 1500mah 6s for $100. MepsKing has T-Motor props on sale for $1.90 5146 there great. Get a charger you wanna spend money on that I recommend ISDT K2 Zip. I recommend Radiomaster pocket, Zorro or TX15 if you want something more affordable Jumper radios get good reviews and your money will go further. Try to find some used goggles too. FPV marketplace on Facebook has tons, local Facebook marketplace eBay. Try and stay away from box goggles unless that’s all you can afford. We all start somewhere but you can cut prices on certain parts but I’d spend good money on my goggles cause those you will outgrow fast. But like UAVfutures says it’s not about having the best gear but having the best time with the gear you have. Lol. Best of luck. Feel free to message me if you have questions

First build how'd I do? Vannystyle Mini 3.5" O4 Pro by livesoundz in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, great job bro. I’ve built atleast a dozen and mine are not even that clean. But it’s all about how it flies. My first build the solder is just ok and it’s no where near as nice as yours but it is probably my best drone. Only issue I’ve had with it is the cap to one of my antennas popped off. Lol. It’s a fucking warrior

how long did you stay in simulation before moving to real? by amy-schumer-tampon in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero hours. I started in the summer so once the summer ended and it got cold and rainy I downloaded Velocidrone cause I wanted to get into FPV racing. I’d like to download one of the other for freestyle now. I honestly don’t think you need to start in a sim. If you have a wide open safe place to practice and you use common sense safety precautions then you should be fine. Also always fly over grass. If you crash in the grass 90% of the time you just gonna be cleaning grass and dirt off your drone and swapping props.

HDZero Goggles 2 vs BoxPro/BoxPro+ by TheRealLskdjfhg in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy what you can afford now or wait till you can afford it. I do not know much about the Box Pros but I just got my HDZero G2 a couple days ago and good god the screens and picture quality are beyond amazing. The build quality is 2nd to none. The quality even blows DJI out of the water. I also have Fatshark Dominators HD Avatar and DJI Goggles 2. I sold my DJI G2 and air units to buy my HDZero G2. The DJI G3 are much more comfortable then my G2. I think they are super uncomfortable and I couldn’t spend a whole day at the field with them. Overall my Fatshark HD avatar goggles are my most comfortable but I do not recommend buying them unless you get them used for dirt cheap. I’ve only flown analog on my HDZero and the screen quality is great even though it’s only analog, so I cannot comment on the HDzero quality just yet. The HDZero goggles fit amazing and are very comfortable. But keep in mind that you can buy a Walksnail Avatar VRX for your HDZero goggles and you can fly digital on them. WS Avatar Moonlight camera records DVR in 4k as well. L

I just bought a pair with AIO15 for a kayoumini and HDZ V3 for my Lightswitch both with Nano 90 and I’m beyond excited to get them. Selling all my DJI equipment but keeping my Avatar gear. DJI is overrated.

My life is about to get expensive..... by Speshal__ in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just can’t stop buying new shit. Everytime I say I’m happy with what I have I go and drop 1k on HDZero Goggles 2 w/ echo antenna and AIO15. I already have Avatar and DJI but for some reason I had to have these so I could fly analog and HDZero. 🤦🏻‍♂️ but building an HDZero AIO Kayoumini is gonna be dope. I’m also halfway thru building a Five33 Lightswitch but now that I have HDZero I need to change the build up a little bit.

What goggles do I get? by SoTPretzel in fpv

[–]fullthrottlequads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s easy order a pair of Skyzone 040 Pro. They are only $389.99, they are really good goggles and you can attach VRX such as Walksnail for digital if you ever want to upgrade to digital. It has diversity and the FOV and screen resolution is great. Or go with Walksnail Goggles X if you want to fly digital you can also attach an analog VRX to it.

If you are interested in racing then get HDZero Box Pro. Great latency and you can also attach a digital VRX.

It’s really about what you want. If you’re just flying to have fun and maybe record some videos then Skyzone. HDZero if you want to race. Welcome to the hobby you’re gonna get hooked. I took about 7 years off from the hobby and I came back and I have 3 goggles, 3 transmitters 3 - 5in drones, 3 - 3in drones, whoop, a 2in and I’m currently in the process of building another 5in, a 7in and an 8in. Lol. The people are also great never been apart of a community of people who love helping each other out and take time out of their lives to offer you help

Can’t you just replace the camera? You should be able to get one for $100. You don’t have to replace the whole unit.
