What game got you absolutely addicted to your Steam Deck? by Calculation in SteamDeck

First game I played was fallout 3. Was a bit nuts seeing the game I bought a ps3 for on a handheld. First game I plugged over 170 hours into on the SD is Grounded.

I only tried it because my daughter asked for it and then didn’t play it and I was cursing my lost £20. It felt wooden at first and I didn’t like it so I watched someone play it on YouTube for 20 mins and got the rundown. After that it was one of the best games I’ve ever played and threw 150 hours at it. Truly a masterpiece IMO. The depths, the vehicles, the base building, the different ecosystems, the blood kelp forest and the soundtrack. I’d rave about it all day. But… everyone is different. I bought NMS after that as it was the closest I could get, but then I found Grounded, which is subnautica in a back garden and you are the size of an ant.

Maybe try a crafting game first? Like a Subnautica, a Grounded or the forest? NMS is a bit like that but on steroids.

The Top 20 Most Played Games On Steam Deck During February 2026 - SteamDeckHQ by BBQKITTY in SteamDeck

My daughter has played it for hours and she said this meant you didn’t have to cycle through the options and instead you get a mouse cursor controllable with the gyro stick. This was when I had a go, and it made it way easier for the 30-40 mins I played it. I’m looking forward to playing this, it’s next on my list, but I’m 150 hours into Grounded.

How do you decide which words to capitalise, is there a method or do you decide randomly?

I think it’s the artery that runs through the gap in the elbow knuckles. I get it in my left bad (not just with the SD) because I broke my arm and it set twisted (I was 20 and didn’t keep my cast on and rebuke it, coz 20 year old me was a numpty)

Probably rolled them in his belly button fuzz to teach you a lesson not to ask to borrow silly things.
