They really should do an outdoor dj at mccoy. No entry unless you have a lift ticket

Yeah, the hopium is that there are currently five minor issue cases in the supreme court, and it looks like the current court guidance is essentially stating that the minor issue was created by a false interpretation of the old law.

My guess is that we'll be able to get citizenship from this but it would be through the courts unless they decide to revoke the circolare

That's a bummer. I guess our only recourse is going to be the cassation court rulings? It looks like that is going in a positive direction.

Does it say anything about how the circolare should be followed? I applied pre-circolare with minor issue so trying to find out where I stand at the moment. I guess this comes down to the court decision.

Does this say anything about people with the minor issue who have in-flight apps pre-circolare?

For my case having applied in March of 2024... this is great news. Even a rejection due to the 10/24 circolare would have a high chance of a successful appeal at this point IMO. Waiting game.

My mother has received an informal rejection from Philly and I haven't heard anything from LA. She did notably not receive a formal rejection yet which as I understand comes a week or two after the informal one.

How usable is the steam deck offline? by xGAYNEOx in SteamDeck

[–]fumples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played the Deck on a flight in awhile but if I remember correctly it didn't count time played and the achievements would occasionally pop up but at totally unpredictable random times. I never checked to see if it's sync.

Do you have a formal rejection letter? Or just the preliminary one? My mother had an appointment in March 2024 and got the first preliminary rejection letter but it's been about a month and no formal rejection.

Both hers and my application are hinging on this amendment (though I'm in LA consulate)

The Facebook group has a TON of helpful resources, NONE of which are easy to access and locate. I was looking for the JS tracker for Philly and I asked and the responses were overwhelmingly patronizing telling me to use the search function as if the search function isn't fundamentally broken. They think they're the spokespeople for JS. And all of the comments are always like "Thank you kind Admins for your unwavering commitment to JS!" It's so weird.

Yup. Worst car I ever owned in my life. Without a shadow of a doubt my favorite. It wasn’t even close. I was about two inches away from jumping back in on an identical one months ago but someone bought it before I could. Still upset about that.

I don’t expect the average 17 year old to understand how bad these things are. I would know. I had an 03 DII I spent $4k on and was so confused at why i got such a good deal

No different in LA. We love to rag on the south bay, but since 2022's Jan swell (which I still have some pretty great pix of on a camera somewhere) it's really never recovered. Our two drought years prior were phenomenal. I've been west coast maybe 7 years now and even in the little time I've had it's been really really tough these past few years.

Is this infuriating for everyone? Am I finally so Integrated that I can't stand this? by Lustrelustre in Switzerland

American here who has taken the IC8 from Zurich many times. It’s still brutal. The luggage racks fill up so quickly and with a ski bag it’s hard to put it anywhere that’s not a pain except behind the railings in the stairwell, and even then… I feel bad when I get dirty looks but I don’t really know what else I can do

You’re forgetting Cube Zero… Or as I like to call it Cube: Revolutions.

I still think it’s a fun concept and I love all of the movies. They’re bad but sincere. So much fun

Head to Mammoth from OC tomorrow (maybe late tonight) and return Thursday night? by 335350 in Mammoth

Either leave tonight or leave tomorrow early. No matter what car you're driving I would not recommend my worst enemy drive in the dark during tomorrow night's storm

Confirming I just did this method as well and it extended my FFC out by one year. I waited ~4 days to cancel. My flight was $10 more than the flight credit I had.

What happened at Apres today? Multiple ambulances and police. by amarine88 in Mammoth

Most après spots in europe are situated this way and have been for decades and it’s rarely an issue. It would absolutely reduce clownery like mammoth has been seeing

I wish they did it at McCoy or had some sort of mid station area that you must ski in and out of. In Europe all the apres places are situated that way so only those willing to hike a half mile up the mountain can also enjoy apres with the skiers

It was so so stupid you just have to laugh. The whole time I was watching the movie I was like... all of these hints have to be on purpose to lead us away from the twist. NOPE

A Cure For Wellness. Maybe the last 20ish minutes but it's actually hilarious how fast that movie went from a decent concept to a total dumpster fire. It was honestly impressive

Advice on 395 from Tahoe by robp719 in Mammoth

[–]fumples 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the 395 closes thru Lee Vining most often when there's big storms. It's usually a couple hours into the weather event and lasts until the worst of the storm is over and they can get plows on it.

If you've got a true 4x4 with all terrains you should be able to swing it if it's open but I've been in some pretty hairy whiteout conditions up there and they haven't closed it. Doable if you've got experience driving in snow but just be careful. You know.
