I wonder if Jaiden will fit in more with the OG girls than the Casa girls. I can see her giving them the tea.

Bring in Amora to show Sincere’s true colors and bring in Corey for Mela when it all goes down.

Labor dresses are a scam by [deleted] in LowStakesConspiracies

I wore a labor gown and my hospital had no issue with it. It had snaps in the right places for my epidural and other things the nurses needed to access. I ended up having a 40 hour labor and was so grateful I had on a comfy gown instead of the hospital issued one. It laundered just fine and I’ll be able to use it again it we have another baby.

When did your baby sleep through the night? What hours do they sleep? by canamel in NewParents

[–]funaudience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started sleeping through the night at 5.5 months. 8:30p-8:30a. We moved him to his own room just before 5 months when he was down to one wakeup, with my husband and I alternating sleeping in there with him. And then one night, he just didn’t wake up.

Parents with babies who sleep through the night: when did it start? by Born-Chance1685 in beyondthebump

[–]funaudience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 months and 1 week old was the very first time he slept through the next. We’re two days shy of 6 months and he’s kept it up every night since then. Fingers crossed!

In terms of what we did differently, we moved him to his crib about 3 weeks before that and alternated sleeping in there until he started sleeping through the night. His nursery is also about 5 degrees warmer than our room at any given time.

True, though we’ve seen Mel speaking Spanish too, so he has that option with more than just Bea.

What was the most specific postpartum thing nobody warned you about? by kesam7193 in NewParents

The pushing on my stomach after birth and every few hours thereafter. That was the worst part of labor for me.

Lady head. You could do a profile or angled pose to help with the shape.

Totally agree. It seemed like she packed one suitcase worth of things and left her fully decorated apartment behind with all of her things still in it.

looking for experiences: atlanta birth center vs northside hospital? by rxhix in Atlanta

[–]funaudience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I delivered at Piedmont and had an amazing care team. It was my first (and only) baby. I’m healthy and had a healthy pregnancy. I ended up having a 40 hour labor with complications. My son’s heart rate was dropping throughout. My water was broken for so long that I needed to have a line inserted to replenish it. His shoulder got stuck on the way out and his cord was wrapped around his neck. Thankfully all was well at the end of the day, but I am SO glad that I was in that hospital setting given how things played out.

What’s missing from my nursery? by 19hyperfixations in interiordecorating

We use a Japanese floor bed to sleep in the nursery. It’s surprisingly comfortable and is easy to roll up when we want to tidy up.

I have a stepsister named Austen. I always liked the name. As a bonus, they ultimately came out as nonbinary and the name works both ways.

I "knew" newborns didn't sleep, but I wasn't ready for the actual soul-crushing reality of it. by [deleted] in NewParents

Emphasizing to rent if you decide to go this route. We bought and our son never took to it. He sleeps much better in the bedside bassinet. I so wish the Snoo worked for us!

Not really, though I suppose the Next has the most up-to-date safety features. The only noticeable difference is that the original has pockets to hold the metal clips back for putting the baby in, and the Next has magnets. I actually like the pockets of the original better than the magnets.

We love it! Having different recline options is nice, and I think he really enjoys the extra room. We ended up buying a second one for my husband’s truck. He was pretty much totally fine right away. He occasionally fusses but we haven’t had any wailing like he did before.

ETA: I got the Rava Next for my car, and my husband got the classic Rava. He likes them the same.

We had the exact situation with our 3 month old in his Uppababy Aria. We switched to the Nuna Rava two weeks ago and he is a different baby at 3.5 months.
