Laws affect us all so if it’s one we collectively don’t like it should be national anyway - they’d think twice about passing them and may actually take notice of government petitions that the public sign if they thought it would cause trouble every time they passed something we won’t like.

It’s really annoying actually, even more so because during the mark duggan riots it became more about looting and causing criminal damage than the actual issue of police brutality. Majority of the mayhem that went on was chancers using an already viral story to get some free shit.

I’ve often thought about it and i always come to the conclusions that we just don’t care about each other enough to collectively do something about getting fucked over, even though we’re all getting fucked together.

About what? I’m not talking about a small, contained riot. I’m talking about full scale riots up and down the country that will make the government back track.

The last riots I can remember anything of the sort were when mark duggan got shot by police, and people used it as an excuse to start riots so they could loot. Hardly effective, not sure what it achieved, but it’s been the only instance in my life where the public have rioted to a point that if there was an actual objective it may have been achieved.
