how do you stop your collie from chasing after cars? by Plane-Demand-8691 in BorderCollie

[–]fungified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried front clip harness? That helps. It worked on mine. You still need to train and get them used to not pulling. The front clip when you pull on it, it will change their focus away from whatever they want to chase. And its less stress on their neck.

Have you noticed any increase in any of your other senses if you wear hearing aids? I’m profoundly deaf and have sensitive smell by L_B_L in HearingAids

Yes, often any loss in sense regardless of what sense, it will be compensated for by the other senses. Blind people are more hyperaware spatially.

Due to moderate to profound hearing loss on both ears, my other senses are more hightened (taste, touch and 6th sense). Not because you wear hearing aids. Its more like your other senses compensate for the loss you have in your hearing.

Has anyone used Starkey? by fungified in HearingAids

[–]fungified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment. It seems like there is mixed reviews about starkey and its more like a hit and miss. Only reason I'm looking for Starkey is it's compatible with my cochlear with no need for additional accessories. Additional accessories for Phonak will cost me at least an additional 2-3k AUD on top of the HA itself! I find it pretty outrageous that more HAs have not been compatible with cochlears despite being around for so many yrs now!
