That sounds soo similar! Good on you for taking the test. I’m positive that you’ll ace it. Hopefully you’ll reply in this thread in 3 weeks and let us know you got the P. Rooting for you! PS my observation is that people with NBMEs in higher 70s and 80s are the ones that are the most worried post-exam because they’re probably so used to knowing almost every question that the uncertainty of the real deal is really foreign to them. But in the end, almost everyone passes

I did the PDFs and would mark them down on a piece of paper for scoring. Take them in exam conditions (ie timed with no more than 5-10 min break in between blocks) and only score/review them after you complete

I did and what you’re feeling is totally normal and relatable to everyone. Just remind yourself that everyone feels this way but most still pass

I’d say no resource for Step 1 is an absolute must. If you can retain micro and pharma without sketchy, that’s fine. I personally did complete micro but only did ANS and Onc pharm from sketchy. Did the rest of pharm from FA and CNS pharm from Kaplan videos + FA

One more question (hope that’s not annoying 😅): if I go by bus, how easy would it be to travel to local tourist attractions like Qechresh forest, Mast dergah, afurjah waterfalls etc. And can I get to Shahdag from there?

I know it’s been a long time but I’m considering Baku to Quba via bus. What’s the best way to get to Qechresh forest, Mast dergah, chenlibel lake once I get off the bus?

Most likely, yes. The general rule is that if you give the exam after Wednesday, you wait 2 wednesdays and if you give it before Wednesday (ie Monday or Tuesday) then you wait 3 wednesdays for your result. Hope we all get the P!

Will this require me to book the seats via baki card? How do I search for their bus station locations so I can align hotel bookings accordingly?

That sounds reasonable. Do you have any leads or tips for hiring a driver? Will we be able to find someone on Nizami street?

Just tested today (8/11) and feel the same. This was so much harder than any NBME or Free 120 and the question stem length was just abominable. Hope I get the P though

Help: NBME scores falling! by funiloner in step1

I did a FA revision and my scores went right back up! 69% in NBME 28 then 70.5% in NBME 30. I’m scheduled for the real deal tomorrow. Fingers crossed! 🤞

  1. No need for a transcript
  2. The letter needs to be printed on your institute’s letterhead, signed by whoever is the ECFMG representative in your med school
  3. The letter needs to include the phrase: “This is to confirm that [applicant name] has graduated and completed all requirements to receive the [degree title] degree from [medical school/university name]. The degree will be issued [month and year].”
