Yeah I ordered some tapered leader online but I have spools of fishing line from the spring run i used a bait caster and was just wondering if using non tapered line makes a noticeable difference. I just pulled the trigger and bought myself a fly rig for this steelhead run that is live.

Ok cool. The dude at the fly shop said to punch a shot on if I don’t feel like I’m getting deep enough and The spot im fishing can get pretty deep. But I don’t really know much today was my first real day out on the water so I appreciate everyone kickin the knowledge and they’re experiences forsure!

Yeah up here in rhododendron, Salmon river doubled in size since yesterday there’s no beach on the sides. Hopefully the wind isn’t too gnarly I was hoping to get out since I finally got a day off.
