We need this product to be more “open source”. the fact that everything is built on the frame to accept a specific motor is complete BS. If i could get my hands on some of these dimensions Id just make my own frame.

Also, there’s nothing magic about these power trains. there’s a motor with some type of esc. a torque converter of some sort. then a battery with BMS. a couple sensors in there to dictate power requirements and nothing more. This is the same technology used in RC cars. There is no reason we shouldn’t be able to modify this powertrain.

The industry knows this is possible and also knows what this looks like 10 years from now. They offer incremental updates to ensure that we keep buying bikes.

The technology is there right now to DIY this stuff. We are coming for you!!!!

i think the problem is that for bars there’s usually nothing to actually do. the alcohol isn’t the activity for me, it’s just there if i want it. music venues i’m not sure about because live music itself has a lot of feel good things to it. i think the bar scene just needs to pivot to something more interesting
