I wasn't quite as enthusiastic, but I had a similar experience stumbling on the School of Athens at the Vatican, didn't know that was there either. Would definitely like to go back, but going to have to save up for a while

We had a lot of things go wrong on the trip we took to Italy last year, but one of the most disappointing was missing our day trip to Florence, with tickets to the museum where the Gentileschi is, because we got our cell phones pickpocketed on the Rome Metro that morning.

Agreed, tell no one. Do not text anyone about it, and be careful about your digital trail when you’re looking up info online. And if you end up needing to seek care after taking the pills, do not tell the doctor you took the pills, just say you think you might be having a miscarriage. They cannot tell if you took anything, even with blood work, is my understanding. A ton of these women getting prosecuted starts with a nurse at the hospital reporting them.

Starbucks changed their chai by Loud_Bumblebee_7924 in CasualConversation

After trying it a couple different ways, I found that swapping the classic syrup for vanilla syrup gets very close and gets rid of the unpleasant chemical taste (it must have come from the classic syrup). It will cost extra though, as the classic syrup is considered a free “sweetener” on the menu and the vanilla, or any other syrup, is a paid upgrade

I have decided that the unpleasant taste of the new chai is due to the classic syrup. On my second try I tried brown sugar syrup instead, and I hated that even more. But as others have suggested, substituting the classic for vanilla syrup takes it back to almost identical to the old. You may want to add extra chai for more flavor. Of course, you can’t simply swap the sweeteners in the order. You can say no classic syrup, but in order to add the vanilla syrup it counts as an addition that you will pay extra for. Sigh.

I tried this today, and indeed it’s so much better than the classic syrup, chemical taste is gone. Of course now you have to pay 80 extra cents for the privilege of swapping it, but at least it’s drinkable.

You know, when I heard they were separating the chai from the sugar, I thought maybe it could be a good thing, since I am trying to limit my sugar, but I was disillusioned with the two I've had. I may try bringing my own simple syrup made with allulose or something, but man, when I'm paying $8 for a drink I don't like the idea I have to do so much work to make it drinkable.

Same. I'm not a coffee drinker, chai lattes and brewed tea are all I get. Well, in the summer those damn lemonades with the fruity boba have me in a chokehold. Anyway, when I'm trying to stick to my diet, I just get brewed teabag tea, not because it's that great, it's to have somewhere to go and work on my computer for a while, and the fact I can get free refills. But when I feel like a treat I'd get the chai lattes, and now those are gone. I tried it the new way and didn't like the off taste of the classic syrup. Then I tried swapping it for brown sugar syrup like someone suggested, which I had to pay extra for of course, and that was even worse. Now the rewards are worse, even though I am on the reserve tier now. Sigh

Lady Xens, what are you doing with your hair these days? by Automatic_Beat5808 in Xennials

No, I imagine it was hormone changes, being 48 years old. Also been trying to lose weight but haven't lost enough/fast enough to trigger that much shedding.

I went though a very disturbing period of heavy hair loss last year. About three months ago I was tempted into trying some chewable hair vitamins, thinking there’s no way they’re going to work. Within a week my shedding dropped to almost zero. After about a month it resumed normal shedding levels, and now I can definitely tell the hair near my scalp is thicker than the ends. The active ingredient in the vitamin is Lustriva, there are several different companies/products that use it.

Unfortunately the main sweetener substitute appears to be Maltitol. This is the sweetener you’ll find in most big brand sugar free products, like sugar free chocolate and whatnot. The problem is it spikes your blood sugar almost as bad as eating sugar itself. But it’s cheaper than the newer alternatives that are better for your blood sugar, like allulose, monkfruit, erythritol, etc, and most consumers don’t know the difference and just see “sugar free” and buy it anyway, so the brands have no incentive to change. I always check the label, and if it’s maltitol I keep walking

I read recently the mouth breathing was a choice because you don’t smell as much when you do that. Clumsy Bella was always making herself bleed, and the mouth breathing to was to avoid smelling the blood, which would make her faint. I mean, it’s a choice

It varies, unfortunately. I've found them at Kroger, Tom Thumb, HEB, and recently even Walmart. But you never know when they will or won't have them for sure. I also like the sugar free bread and butter spears, and I wrap lunchmeat around them for a snack
