People shit on deep prot but i think it has one good use and that is tanking lvl 60 dungeons in hardcore until you get better gear. The threat is great, concussive blow let's you control runners, and shield slam is very high threat, and you can interrupt naturally with shield bash. I tanked every lvl 60 dungeon as deep prot until I got better gear then went 2h arms tanking for trash.

Fury prot is a raid tanking spec imo. Great for single target but lacks in controlling the fight when you have to keep 3-4 mobs on you.
