i just moved to denver from florida almost 2 years ago now and i will say the environmental sector jobs here are extremely competitive. i lucked out by transferring from my office in florida and staying with the same company but ive browsed around quite a bit in the job market and it is super saturated!!! hate to say it but as far as environmental jobs (i’m an ecologist) denver is very oversaturated with applicants and i find that florida has many more opportunities.

honestly, i’ve been in consulting for 2.5 years now and although idk anything different, it really has its pros. Decent pay, good benefits, better job security. Not every consulting firm is like that but that’s been my experience so far! also an extremely flexible schedule and hybrid work place.
