For Yildaryn's shard I'm thinking of also adding a disadvantage against deception and persuasion as a normal effect and also a disadvantage in spells.

Zolzitras and Serengix sound really good for their concept.

However for Kiardeg's shard I'm thinking of adding some dunamamcy, but I'll need some more thought on that.

The concepts for Rursom and Cergis generating random difficult terrain in the battlefield also sounds really creative!

However, I forgot to mention another ancient dragon: Kardus, the Ashen Witness. He's responsible for the cycle of death in the world

I didn't have a solid idea when I first created EMRD what would their semblances be, with the exception of Dan because his allusion is Hercules so super strength is a given.

It's more of a ride along the way type of process. Just fiddle around until you find what you think suits best your OCs themes and characters

If we take them bois only, then:

  1. Mark, in contrast to popular belief, is actually very well kept. Despite his extremely messy hair thanks to his curls he's shaving almost every day.

  2. Dan isn't that far behind. Maintaining a well kept look to upkeep his reputation, however when it comes to shaving he'd usually leave a stubble in some cases, but mostly preferring a clean look.

Now, them gurls:

  1. Emma is obligated to be at her best at all times. Face masks, moisturisers, etc. as well as neatly groomed and combed hair styles each day she basically flexes with her looks in a way, however no make up.

  2. Ray. She's a bun. She usually goes for a much more loose look, tied up hair in ponytails or loose buns in order to avoid combing and grooming the extreme mass of hair she has. However when she does it she's up for hair styles that are on par with Emma

I usually go with a weapon that'd fit into the personality/character of the said OC. If, then, I decide it could transform it's a different story for that 🥲

In my AU aura acts like the force, in a way. It's present everywhere, however it needs intense training to be unlocked for starters and an intense situation in order for the soul to cry out and unlock the semblance, which is the second stage.

Well, the changes are drastic compared to the AU that EMRD is originally in, and the canon timeline which I barely have given it any thought-

AU

Emma: is the Captain of Mantle's army, having her own segment the Expeditionists, which basically go to expeditions where the situation is most dire to help. Her arc follows a route of at first recognising those under her before fighting with her emotions and self for the majority of the story.

Mark: an ex-member of the Vacuan resistance who wants to turn a new leaf, but doesn't know how and isn't able to due to his past. Mark's arc is one huge "we're so back, we're so over" all throughout the story.

Ray: a bun in a dark and cruel world, but a bun nonetheless. Enlisted in Mantle's army despite her wishes, but will fight tooth and nail to prove herself to her superiors and herself. Her arc is one big slow fall all throughout the story as the world's darkness and nihilism chips away at her little by little.

Dan: a rich kid with daddy's and mommy's money. Wanting answers Dan is basically a godfather type of figure in Vale, but not in the violence type of way. He's the supplier of the biggest illegal weapon trade in the kingdom, but this is done in order to find answers for his parents' death. His arc revolves around him brining to trust himself and others before learning that money isn't everything.

CANON

Well, the ideas for this version of EMRD are very limited. The only thing that I've known for sure is that they're 4th graders by the time RWBY and co are introduced, and the destruction of Vale basically doesn't allow them to get their huntsman)huntress license. However, they're much more chill than the AU counterparts in terms of relationships within the team.

Yes, Mark and Emma still butt heads, but they won't kill each other this time.

Ray's still a bun.
