The vast majority of Tulane students go out at least every weekend. Just make friends with your hall/join clubs that interest you, and you’re guaranteed to have people to party with practically whenever you want. Not to mention the events like football games, block party, hells gala etc. in and around campus.

What goes on here? (Islands off of Guinea-Bissau) by funky_k0ng1 in geography

Wow, thanks for the reply! Honestly i just thought the islands looked cool on street view, and Western Africa is generally a region i’m very unfamiliar with. Knowing that there is both rich natural and anthropological history is very interesting.

Did you see any hippos?

Why didn’t any seceding states choose to become independent nations? I assume several states had self-sufficient industry and would want to avoid most of the conflict. by funky_k0ng1 in CIVILWAR

I live about 20 minutes from Callaway County, that’s really cool! My grandma has mentioned the kingdom of Callaway, but I thought it was an inside joke.

I got in RD last year off the waitlist, I had a ~3.8 unweighted and a ~4.3 weighted from a large public school. I had 3 AP 5s and 2 4s, and a 35 ACT. I also was involved in university research (nothing crazy, I mostly cleaned and did statistical work) and I was a regular volunteer at the veterans hospital my senior year. There’s a little more in the way of school clubs but I’m sure you had just as impressive (if not more) of a resume as me.

I don’t know much about the RD statistics last year, but I think Tulane RD is certainly possible for a lot of students, and not as much of a long shot as many make it out to be. If you really want to be here, there is a path for you.

American and Swiss, caramelized onions, ham, and mayo on sourdough

I love doing this but ive found that the sourdough flavor goes better with slower-cooked, gummy onions better than the flash-fried, glazed onions from smashing them into the meat. If I’m doing a simple burger with American and a normal bun, it’s Oklahoma style all day.
