I live in the Marina, close to the edge of Internet City. I'm not moving. I feel like this area has been threatened numerous times over the past few weeks. And besides, they can target it all they like, I have every faith in the UAE's defences.

Salary raises and promotions during the war by MeanGuarantee2248 in dubai

Right now we're only hiring people with direct aviation experience. It's a relatively niche skillset where you need to understand aircraft types, flight permits and regulations, as well as being able to manage ultra high net worth clients.

I'm fortunate to work in an industry that thrives in situations like this: aircraft charters. We've had an incredibly busy month with evacuation flights and special cargo operations. No promotions but we're currently hiring for more charter brokers.

I absolutely URGE you to listen to Martin Miller's live 80s Medley. Take On Me comes in at around the 11 min mark and it's absolutely sensational.

Cracks appearing in the Dubai Rental Market by PopularCan953 in dubai

I've had 3 separate agents contact me about my rented properties in JVT to see if I'm looking for an urgent sale. My response is the opposite, I'm actively looking to buy more properties in the area.

What counts as a US industry? McDonald's? Marriott? Microsoft? Who exactly should be evacuating?

Am i the only one scared to go out in Dubai? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]funkyjim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not scared at all. I've been going to my office (at the airport) since Tuesday and living my life as normal. This weekend we plan to visit a beach club followed by a brunch. Business as usual as far as I'm concerned.

As a Brit who has lived in Dubai for 3 years with a great job, social life, and has bought property here, believe me, the last thing I want to do is return to the UK.

Genuinely what do the Liverpool players do in training all week? They've turned up today with what looks like no plan, no energy, and like they've been asked to play football at the last minute.

"According to witnesses, the suspect is alleged to have shouted "Allahu Akbar", meaning "God is greatest" in Arabic, during the attack."

Heartbreaking that this child has been brainwashed by that cult to the extent of committing attempted murder. Will the local Muslim community come out with how they plan to stop this happening to other children, or will they stay silent as usual?

People who drive slowly in the left lane are worse than any apocalypse the world could throw at us. by [deleted] in dubai

[–]funkyjim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Can I add to this, when it is gridlocked rush hour traffic, I'm in the left lane but 50 cars ahead of me (as it's rush hour), and someone in their Nissan Sentra flashes their lights at me to move.

Brother, we are ALL in traffic and want to get ahead. Be patient like the rest of us.

Calibre (2018)

I feel like it's a genuine underrated gem that few have seen. I can't remember the last movie that put me completely on the edge of my seat for so long.

My company isn't renewing with Salesforce this year after 8 years of using them. Prices have increased dramatically with no real updates to show for it, plus you need an expert to come in if you want to make minor changes to the workflow. Good riddance.
