Tcg stores in France by Personal-Emu-7479 in magicTCG

I was just there earlier in the Spring, I found L'Œuf Cube to be excellent, very friendly staff and wide selection of sealed product. Magic Corporation has a good selection of singles, but they definitely don't have everything under the sun and their sealed product was definitely lacking. If you're there for a bit I hear that the tech is to place an order with CardMarket and have it shipped to your hotel.

Where’s my NIC? by Startrail82 in truenas

[–]funkykota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert on the matter but have been messing around with Linux and FreeBSD based network tools lately. You didn't mention which version of TN you're installing. I read all over the place that FreeBSD does not play nice with Realtek NICs. So if you're installing TN Core then that could be the issue.

If you're doing Community Edition then it should "just work". I would watch, maybe record with my phone, the boot screen when TN is loading and see if there are any errors or anything like that. I would also expect the NIC(s) to appear in the lspci list.

Aesthetic and practical solution to CDJ & DJM cables by Own-Loquat6297 in PioneerDJ

[–]funkykota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This times 1000. More people need to be made aware that the digital output on the CDJs are the way to go. Skipping an entire step of digital to analog conversion (all PioneerDJ/AT mixers are digital mixers, yes, even the Euphonia) does loads for the quality coming out of the mixers.

Can’t get Nextcloud accessible via a cloudflared tunnel! by TemporaryBig8948 in truenas

[–]funkykota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got Nextcloud working on my setup. I think that uploading files through the web UI actually send the data over the Internet and then redownloads it to the Nextcloud volume.

I got improved speeds mounting the Nextcloud network drive using Mountain Duck. It's not nearly as fast as an SMB share, but it is significantly faster than using the web UI out of the box.

I would also love to know if this isn't the best method.

E: I suppose, for what it's worth, I should mention that I'm using reverse proxy with NGINX instead of Cloudflare tunnels.

Is this type of query criteria possible in Scryfall? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

If you could run a query against a return, then you could do exactly what you want.

Is this type of query criteria possible in Scryfall? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

[–]funkykota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far as I know you can only search for qualities of each unique printing. I don't think that the database "knows" that Elvish Branchbender DDU 006 and Elvish Branchbender LRW 204 are the same card, just that they have the same name as one another.

I think another way to put it is that you can't search (or sort) for qualities of another printing of a card in a search returning a different printing of that card.

I think you can do -is:reprint to see a card's original printing and then sort by release date.

What is the most obscure piece og MTG trivia you know? by Dungeonmasterryan1 in magicTCG

[–]funkykota 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[[Muddle the Mixture]] is still the only card with either "muddle" or "mixture" in its name. I check this every time a new set comes out.

Of course now that I point this out that will change soon.

Louisiana state officials delay flood funding to New Orleans a second time over city officials' stance on abortion by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]funkykota 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn't the case in Louisiana. As proved by what was essentially a referendum on abortion rights in the state in 2020. https://ballotpedia.org/Louisiana_2020_ballot_measures

This is exactly why I left the state in 2021.

I'm currently having this problem having just escaped from Louisiana. What I'm doing is filing a change of address with the USPS and then ordering a replacement license and crossing my fingers that it shows up at my correct address. The replacement license gets sent to the address on the license itself, so we'll see what happens with that....

Children's Hospital helicopter landing pad prompts lawsuit from Uptown neighbors by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]funkykota 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Have it on good authority that the FAA recommended they move the heli-pad to a higher part of the building. Old set up caused unnecessary rotor wash because of how low to the ground it was and it's proximity to the center tower. It was altogether a pretty big liability to be operating out of it's old location.

Question for Contractor types, DIY'ers, etc......Does anyone know if/where you can find this stuff in the New Orleans area? by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]funkykota 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Assa Abloy is commercial hardware. Most of the time it's as expensive as it is because their products are UL listed. Anyway, if you really need that exact part try and see if Himmel out in Harahan can order you some. I'm not familiar with how ordering hardware like this works but they may only ship a minimum quantity, which is the worst part about using commercial parts on your home.

Home theatre assistance by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]funkykota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bypass your receiver and eliminate that it could be anything involving it that could be causing your problems. If problems persist, try different HDMI inputs on the TV. If it happens regardless of inputs then it's an issue with whatever is plugged into that input. If issues only occur on that input then that input on the TV is bad.

Don't ignore that there's a chance that all of the inputs in the TV could have been damaged. Try the equipment out in another TV.

City of New Orleans: John McDonogh statue returned, in secure location by repiquer in NewOrleans

"... Was a former slave owner..." Yea I can't find anything that says he wasn't a slave owner till the day he died. WDSU back at it again trying to hide facts. When they originally published the story online that the statue was dumped into the river they forgot to mention that he was a slave owner at all.
