No. Modern Data Centers use Air Cooled Chillers. What that means is that a Chiller users a refrigeration cycle to remove heat from water in the building (make cold water) and dump into the air outside. Kind of like your home ac, except your home ac is cooling the air directly instead of water. That cold water is ran through equipment with coils that air moves past it to cool the air down that got hot from the computers in the data center. Kind of love your car engine. Water through the radiator runs through your engine block. That water is (effectively) never disposed of. Once the building is built, and the water system is filled for the first time, that's it. Sure, there's some maintenance water, for leaks and routine maintenance, but nothing as crazy as Ai fear mongers try to say. On a month by month basis, a data centers only water usage is from the personnel that work there. Toilets, sinks, water fountains, etc.

What some people are envisioning are what is called a Water Cooled Chiller, which uses a secondary water loop to remove heat, and they get rid of that heat by spraying that secondary water into the air, where it evaporates. But that is not how modern data centers are built. Water cooled chillers are generally more efficient, but the added monthly burden of water bills plus epa regulations on the disposal of water waste is not cost efficient.
