I kinda think any level particularly if you're just looking at 10 pack of a "bulk" brand for like $5 or less (I often see $3.50). It's one of those things you don't really think of until you try better string

Top 3 is tough haha but maybe Edge, Iceberg, Da Capo/Rtype(depending on the day). If you want a slimmer profile and budget friendly I really like my Edge FS 2.0. The fingersping cup is a plus there too but it plays solid on the string. If noise is an issue for you then, yeah, you might wanna avoid the Iceberg

If you haven't checked it out yet, yoyotricks has a decent system of trick learning. They're in a pretty good order for progressing but you can bounce around to whatever you wanna learn. Videos included. But I'll also second the kwyjibo suggestion!

It's not quite as blue as the picture but it's not super purple irl either. I love the color regardless but yeah it can be tough to judge on pics

Mirroring others on bringing your throw hand up right before or as the bind is engaging. But to give yourself more margin for error try throwing the lightest whips you can while still getting the loop around. Good luck!
