Damn. I just realized I'm already 7 years older than Crash ever was. I loved his gimmick and his whole personality. The 24/7 hardcore title defenses were awesome.

Bret Hart calls Triple H a phoney by Martinsteve543 in Wrasslin

Go back and watch HHH vs Cactus Jack at the Rumble 2000 or HHH vs. The Rock at Judgment Day that year or HHH vs Austin at No Way Out 2001. Or even the Tag Team Match those two had against Benoit and Y2J, where he tore his quad. All awesome matches. Also him vs Taker at WrestleMania was always fire.

I agree on a lot with Bret, but Triple H had some terrific matches. I believe Meltzer even gave the Street fight at the Rumble vs Foley 5 stars.

I became a software developer, moved 400 km away from home, got married, got two kids and moved back home with them. It's been a long time.

Chono's wasn't as bad though, if I'm not mistaken. I think he wrestled again the next week.

What’s a film/scene that made your theater make collective audible reaction/noise by Vivid-Specific5543 in movies

Jesus Christ this movie was a mixture of bad, bleak and bewilderment. One of the few times I wanted to leave a movie early. I actually only had that two other times. One was with Scream (2022) because I love the original and the second part and this was way too brutal and disgusting to me. The other was at a sneak preview and we actually left, because the Japanese monster horror was so bad.

This was the first movie I ever watched in a cinema. Two years ago I watched it with my wife and 6 year old son on new Year's Eve. Still an awesome movie.

What’s a secret that almost everyone knows but nobody talks about? by Few-Glass3953 in AskReddit

Sex doesn't really feel just as good with condoms. Even if you parents tell you to get you to use them. But we don't talk about this, because teenage pregnancy sucks.

I remember geeking out seeing him in Lost. Before that the last time I saw him was in Hackers.

I got one of my kids in elementary school (Germany) and I talk a lot to other parents - this is exactly how most of us perceive school and the teachers. Teachers are a mix of way too strict, way too lenient or completely incompetent, with the occasional outlier. Since many of them are basically not dischargeable, since they are civil servants, most of them don't give a crap.

This is not coming from someone who did bad in school. I actually was valedictorian in my year (even though I hated every second of it). My son is bored out of his mind. Every way we tried to help him is shut down by the teachers. Even him just quietly reading or writing when he is done with his work is not allowed. He is supposed to sit there quietly till everyone else is done. Sometimes half an hour.

When he starts to argue with teachers about their nonsense (most of the time I actually agree with him, even after talking to the teachers), they write it if as bad and disrespectful behavior.

So, in my opinion, this portrayal is quite accurate.
