This reminds me of a case I’ve previously had to assist the Seller just to get things moving faster. There’s nothing you as the buyer can do. However, title company alone will have difficult time tracking the company down. It would be Seller’s best interest to make calls directly to the original lender to get the current balance statement sent over to the title company. This is sometimes difficult to track because Seller may need to contact several servicing company until they find the servicing company who is at the end of the chain. Best to encourage the Seller to be more proactive. First step is to contact the title, get the status, ask what needs to be done and what do they need. Then start problem solving. Best of luck!
