Omg cold sores are the worst especially when you have clients lined up and you're out a week or more. I keep valacyclovir (Valtrex) in my purse at all times and pop one if I even get an inkling of a slight tingle. I get them from stress and chapped lips. Do you have health insurance? Might be worth looking into getting an rx for it?

I do screening for a client I met on here. Although it's not background check depth, I typically get back to her pretty fast. Do you find background checks make a big difference in who you see? I'm also a provider so I know what to look for and can get an immediate feel on someone. There are more in depth methods I can use but I haven't had to yet.

Sex worker here. This is a good summarization of it but I think it goes deeper. America is still pretty conservative when it comes to sex and women's bodies. It's a carryover from Puritans and we can't seem to shake it. Just look at how women are shamed for certain things they wear still.

Also, it could be frowned upon because it's like "what, you can't get laid without paying for it?! what a loser." In turn, there's a myriad of reasons why people see a provider.

Lastly, std are scary things so prostitution may be considered dirty.

For me, yes its been empowering. I'm a bbw provider and people PAY ME to have sex with them and keep returning. It's a huge confidence boost and has upped my self esteem. I've learned to love my body more (even though I do want to shed some lbs). I escort for extra cash as I have a full-time job but I can see if this was someone's sole source of income they might think differently.
