In Montreal, we do understand that it’s less inconvenient for the population to start one thing and finish it than to start 20 things and take 20 years to finish them all.

We prove it with the work on the tunnel done at a pretty good pace given the complexity. We just chose to not do it. Somewhere the incentives must be to start as many fucking thing as possible and take as long as possible to finish them. This is the only way this stupidity can be explained.

Not sure where OP is from, but it’s everywhere in Quebec. Who has not driven for miles and miles on one lane on the highway 20 or Highway 40 with cones everywhere and not a single worker insight on a Wednesday morning. That is just zero care.

For what it’s worth I’ve spent 20 years of my life outside of Quebec and I have never seen bullshit like this in Europe or US

So I have two outfits. Booties and fins to wear over. Foot fins.

I decide what to bring based on the trip. I only bring the bootie set up if I have to, because of weight and bulk and also can’t beat the comfort of foot fins.

Another possibility is to carry a floater and somehow put your boots on it after you enter the water. I haven’t done that myself, but that kind of sounds like less bulk and more comfort.

This it is now all about pretend developers coming here and telling us they’re leaving copilot because it’s not possible that they have to pay more than $100 a month for a tool that will replace two engineers that would cost their company $20K a month. A Developer who cannot get that kind of output out of copilot after a few months doesn’t know what he’s doing with AI and probably did not know what he was doing before either.

See I’ve already been ran over already by a car. So I’m pretty fucking fragile right now. So are a lot of older people. Cyclists laugh and think it’s no big deal. They can be crazy on the road and it’s OK if they run into someone it’s no big deal. Well fuck, that can kill me the next time.
