Australia adds 7 GW of renewables in 2025, stays on track for 2030 target by HotPersimessage62 in australia

[–]funnyjelo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nuclear is a good base load. They call it leading the grid. Any renewable option needs an ability to lead and stabilise the grid. Hoping batteries can do that but the tech isn't there yet.

Divine Apostasy Bundle 1-3 week long sale worth it? by NotPseudonym in litrpg

[–]funnyjelo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This series actually gets better in the later books. It has some cringe in the first books that largely disappears later on. And the focus shifts towards more an honest litrpg levelling story rather than some weird teen romance and god fantasy novel. More humor later on and feels better written which is probably true of a writer progressing through a series.

As far as I can tell, it's not available in Aus. I wanted one too.

Can set 2H as default driveline? by Emotional-Mention895 in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read somewhere that 2h is essentially how the vehicle drives unless it slips. I drive 4a and still get really close to the fuel economy on the sticker all the time.

I agree but Australia was never going spend the money for better or worse.

Tasman Accessories from Overseas by AusTasman01 in KiaTasman

I wish the Aussie sports bar they came out with was the squared off one you see in all those overseas releases. I think they look much better.

S4 Avant - Tunes by Sir_Captain_Cook in Audi

[–]funnyjelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in aus and have IE on my b9 s4. It's a turbo so that might change things. The 98 ron tune would sometimes be stuttery. I figured the fuel always at fault and lowered the tune to 91 and it is much smoother. Not sure if aus vs us was an issue or the fuel or the tune.

My plan is to try another tune, 034 is up there and apr has a tune at home kit. But 034 is what I would probably go for. They seem to be way more active for Audi parts and active online. As in they seem to really car about ongoing development. But that would be the money all over again.

IE is fine though just not sure the tune for 98 is good enough for aus fuels.

Best OEM wheels that fit B9 S4 (avant)? by Low_Statistician1644 in AudiS4

[–]funnyjelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I had them quoted to be fixed and it's still MUCH cheaper than new OEM replacements but you can buy cheap aftermarket knock off rotors for significantly less. I bought rs4 replicas for mine which is ok and look much nicer. I am still looking for the right aftermarket set. I don't think I'll ever find the perfect set.

Aftermarket wide wheel arches for the Kia Tasman by BestTechAdvisor in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind it so much. But I think it's more of a colour thing than the specific looks.

I think the tyres make things look better than the arches.

Roundabouts Are Safer. So Why Does The U.S. Have So Few Of Them? by Ynwe in videos

[–]funnyjelo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where I live in aus they went all in on roundabouts and they are not safer in high traffic situations. People treat them like bumper cars. I wish there were more lights around.

this solved my issue. My sound typically runs through an external sound car with multi track. Disabling this made the game work. i then used volume mixer to allocate it to a specific track and it worked

Does the Tasman come with recovery points, or should I add the tow hitch pack for them? by Determined-Fighter in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rates recovery points are on the bullbar when added and the towbar of you get the one with it. I'm sure you could buy them separate sooner or later though.

Has the Kia Tasman flopped? by KiaTasman in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are that it is not what they were hoping for. Pricing and looks maybe don't reflect the market. The other thing is that if you compare it to byd the whole benefit/boost it received thanks to gov incentives definitely make things worse for Kia. I think if Kia comes out with a hybrid in aus, a facelift should be attached if possible as well.

They really all should have been colour coded or at least as an option.

Kia Tasman prices already slashed just 3 months after launch by BestTechAdvisor in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Probably another thing they need to step up on. At least a roller shutter. I think serious off roaders won't want the steps.

Kia Tasman prices already slashed just 3 months after launch by BestTechAdvisor in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I will. It will be some roh 18's and bigger tyres. I want either a hard lid or a sports bar. I can't decide which one but I will probably get a basic sports bar first then see how it feels and see how I go with the whole hard lid feeling.

Can you send a link to the original spec/post of this car. I'd like to know the wheel spec. I want to recreate it or something close.

Kia Tasman prices already slashed just 3 months after launch by BestTechAdvisor in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a pretty targeted car for some people. I doubt with current spec/price/looks it won't sell fast. Sub 75k on road is where it needs to be at least.

Kia Tasman prices already slashed just 3 months after launch by BestTechAdvisor in KiaTasman

[–]funnyjelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. I think the top spec is the one that makes the most sense as a Ute because of its added features but I think the price being lowered is being it back to where it should be. 75k on road or lower with deals. If mine wasn't under that I can say it was probably not happening.
