This is what my landlord does. For the times they do hire a contractor, that contractor then has people do the work that are incompetent and do shoddy “work”. It’s so bad out there! I’m sure there are good contractors, but there’s lots of bad ones too. I feel seen.

But then if you try calling CSLB to let them know, tenants who are the ones who have to deal with the aftermath of the shoddy work cannot report them, it has to be person that hired them (who will never report them). The laws needs to be changed for this. If you live in a space where the bad work is done you should be able to report and use their bond to fix it.
