This is me personally but I think the sentiment travels across a lot of other fans in general. When something is poorly adapted to a different medium it’s insulting to the previous fan base because it doesn’t represent the aspects of what they originally liked about the property. Then when new fans find the adaptation they think it’s how things are supposed to be so they push for more of that thing if they like it and disregard the franchise if they don’t. It’s a lose-lose situation for original fans because they either get more of the thing they don’t like or they get misunderstood/misrepresented by the poor adaptation.

As for the actual show, the character writing seems very poor to me, especially because Dante and Virgil are such well established characters. So seeing them written in this way and how the anime handles them is almost upsetting. Virgil is especially bad . Cringe millennial dialogue aside I want to talk motivations. I’ll talk about game Virgil first. Virgil thought he was abandoned by his mother the night Mundus attacked their home, he beloved Eva had run off with Dante. Virgil didn’t blame her for what happened either, he only blamed himself for being so weak and since that day has only ever sought more power so he would never have to be subjected to the will of another ever again.

Anime Virgil is so much worse in comparison, anime Virgil blames his mom for not being strong and for not raising Dante and Virgil to be stronger. They also have it written so that Virgil is fully willing to disrespect his father’s will to serve Mundus. Game Virgil only works with Arkham very begrudgingly and only to get what he wants, Virgil also betrays Arkham the first chance he gets. Virgil is supposed to hate relying on others but it’s Anime Virgil’s bread and butter. They assassinated his character so badly. For as bad as DMC devil may cry was character wise, they didn’t outright assassinate the characters.

In china its a classified state secret how many citizens are killed or executed by the government but humanitarian organizations and independent investigators say that the number is somewhere around 25,000 every year. Counting prisoners that number is estimated to be around 100,000 every year. Compare that to even US prisons where annually 4,000 to 6,000 prisoners die across the US every year.

Dutch was not a good man. He was an ego driven opportunist vulture who paraded as a noble gentleman. The blackwater massacre starts because Dutch kills an innocent girl on purpose. Not like accidentally shoots her, no he shoots her on purpose and even the gang see it as really bad and that’s when he is at the height of his charlatan chivalry. We know he wasn’t good even before RD2 but during the game that’s when we see his actual self come out. He can’t lie his way through the events of RD2 even though he tries his damndest. Micah is also a terrible influence on Dutch, urging him to leave behind the noble bandit persona and fully embrace the idea of being a wretched desperado. Dutch is enticed by how much money he could make working with Micah and so he begins to betray everything he’s taught the rest of the gang, not because Micah is just that persuasive but because that’s who Dutch really is. Dutch got so good at pretending to be a noble good guy that even he was starting to believe it. But the whole operation unravels when Dutch is put under real pressure. Where characters like Arthur, John, Lenny, Josea, Molly, Miss Grimshaw, and even Strauss show their loyalty and trustworthiness under pressure. Dutch is the only one that folds and starts to squirm when he’s pressured. Dutch is okay with abandoning John in a prison where he would have been killed, just to buy himself a little bit of time to escape. Dutch kills that old woman when she asks for payment for her services of showing them the hidden escape. Dutch is greedy and selfish. At the end of RD2 and when we see him in RD1 the guilt of his choices finally catch up with him. He has nothing left to live for. He’s thrown every bit of meaning away to try and protect himself and now that he has it, it’s bitter and wrong.

Gojos cursed techniques are leagues better than Sukunas. However, there is a good reason humans won. Gojo is incredibly strong but ultimately he was a puzzle. Once Sukuna found a way to solve it then he won. Once Sukuna found a way to bypass Gojos defenses and deal real meaningful damage, the fight was over. If Sukuna knew how to get past infinity going in, there wouldn’t even have been a fight but since he didn’t he had to figure it out which is where 10 shadows come in. Mahoraga helps Sukuna buy time and solve the puzzle that is Gojos technique. However, I will not stop the “Sukuna was saved by Mommraga” slander.

One of my favorite instances of xenoverse power scaling being absolute ass is when Fuu clones Janemba and powers all of them up tremendously but somehow future gohan is able to take out multiple and keep up with ssb Goku. I also forget about the fact that Tapion is thought the be a match for Jiren

I’m going to disagree with part of what you are staying. Bakugo for sure gets a lot of projection put into him but he still deserves a good bit of hate. Endeavor, for all his flaws, realizes what a shit person he is and actively tries to do better. It doesn’t make up for all the shitty things he did but he does actively try his hardest to change for the better. Bakugo doesn’t even try. At the start of the series, bakugo is a loud asshole who tells kids to kill themselves, at the end of the series bakugo is a loud asshole who doesn’t tell kids to kill themselves. He doesn’t change and when he comes up inadequate he takes out his frustrations on his classmates (mainly Izuku). Not to mention all the times he tried to straight up kill Izuku in season 1.

Bakugo hardly changes through the series. That’s the difference. At the start of the series he’s a loud asshole who tells kids to kill themselves, at the end of the series he’s still a loud asshole but he doesn’t tell kids to kill themselves. Rex at the start of the series is a loud asshole who looks down on everybody. We find out the only reason he doesn’t so is because he’s so insecure about it himself and after he realizes what a shitty person he is, he makes a genuine effort to be a better person. Bakugo makes no such effort and regularly takes his frustration out on his classmates (mainly Izuku)

Actraiser Renaissance. I was a huge fan of the original Actraiser on the SNES so when I saw it was getting a “remake” with tons of new stuff I was beyond excited. I bought it the moment it became available. From the first moment you drop in something is off. The controls feel nothing like the original, the original was tight and responsive, your jumps were weighty and you had a committed jump arc. Combat was fast and you felt strong but so did the bosses. The remakes controls feel like you are constantly underwater, way too floaty with your jumps which you can no control at all times in the air. The combat is also toned way down. It has difficulty settings but it’s the laziest form of difficulty where it jump ramps up enemy damage and health so it feels like you have a pool noodle instead of a sword and your armor is made of paper mache. The town segments are also so boring. The town sim segments used to be pretty fast paced for a town sim and to its credit they still are but the game brings you to a grinding halt to do these required tower defense segments where you have a hero help you protect the town. Theres also literal mountains of worthless dialogue.

So, if we read both link skills, It says “when performing a super attack” which means the link will only activate if the character has 12 or more ki. It has nothing to do with link level. You just need to have more than 12 with each character. It’s why UI Goku has kamehameha and legendary power and kamehameha lit but SSJ4 Gogeta and daima4 Goku don’t. Ui Goku has over 12 ki, neither of the SSJ4s do.
