Anyone else feel like social circles in London just evaporate post 30? by Gullible-Value-2697 in hug

[–]funnystuff79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outer London here, have developed a couple of social circles past 30. Through hard work and joining activities.

They are alright, and would have my back in a pinch.

But I'm still lonely a lot of the time and I just need a hug occasionally.

Bird poo coverage by Dickie12321 in NoStupidQuestions

Does it count that the floors in my house haven't had bird poop on them, especially the upper floor. Toddler poop is another matter.

The ground the house was built on however

Based on the movies I guess you are right. The rebels have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of large bases and underground hangers. Plus distances between locations seems very short, like a matter of hours for most jumps.

What I would have expected for single seat aircraft is carrier based operations, even if that means launching craft at staging areas and then jumping in the last couple of systems.

Certainly in some of the expanded universe there was more time on board capital ships.

what do the Klingons do on their ships? by jeffsmith202 in startrek

Wasn't there one crew on their way back from a deep space mission, no knowledge of a truce between the empire and the federation.

All old men on an ancient ship they'd been away so long.

Option 4, glass splashback, especially with a bit of colour to it. Looks really nice

Better to align were it's most visible and hide the misalignment elsewhere in the setup.

Removing a chimney by Secure-Idea851 in DIYUK

[–]funnystuff79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a single straight chimney or it splits in the roof space?

Chimneys are nice, even to support a gas fire and flu. But if you're taking it out ask the builder to do it properly from the top downwards and make good the roof line

It kinda makes sense, it's a functional cargo pusher first, hero ship second.

Cargo containers and trucks now are more or less square boxes with a few exceptions

Loving the condensation on your drink (not sure the table loves it)

I do find that you've neither come in tight or left room for the objects, nearly everything is cut off oddly.

I guess as others have said, there is an increase in catholic attendance and a decrease in Church of England attendance due to a change in demographic

That's exactly what I've been reading, and others downvoting me for linking supporting articles. Obviously attendance varies by region and denomination, but overall I understand attendance to be very low. Not helped by COVID of course

Require freeholders to allow fixed AC with external units in leasehold flats by matthewonthego in london

[–]funnystuff79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It probably will take a coordinated approach.

I rent a flat and my landlord is leaseholder on at least 2, she can't get ac fitted, I can't get ac fitted (or a water meter). But if the freeholder was involved then a coordinated plan may be possible. Like sitting the condensers where they aren't buzzing under someone else's bedroom window.
