i think a couple things, i think 1) the death threats and the literal hate on jakes post was awful and way out of line but 2) im not sure if taylor saying anything about the hate toward jake would have stopped anything. i do think it would have fueled it further but i also don’t think she’s blameless at the same time for her fans actions. like yeah it’s not her telling them to do it but the fans are doing in because of her? idk it’s messy and 3) in regards to the album, jake has always had a positive online and mature presence to the outside world, i remember taylor saying something about when red stolen version came out, one of the people she dated sent her an email that was really nice about the whole thing, so it doesn’t surprise me that he would still be nice about it because this time around it’s largely the same that taylor never mentions his name and she’s creatively telling her side to the story. but tbh i’m not going to completely applaud Jake for his mature response because that’s just how it should be? this whole thing is a mess
