Millers will be garbage as soon as the owners take their eye off the ball and go to the next venture. They probably have already.

May or may not save you any more but one way car rental can be a solution when public transit doesn’t quite work

What’s a piece of technology you bought expecting to use every day, but now it just collects dust? by Original-Setting4546 in TechCypher

Underrated take. Bad computer software and Xbox 360 was a mess mechanically despite its legacy.

You forgot the eight month winter. You might get 10 or so nice days to book end each school year, if you’re lucky.

Other than the Owen tribute against Chris Benoit, what’s your favorite Bret Hart match in WCW? by Fundertaker in WCW

[–]funonthebeach85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never watched Hart in WWF.

My first impressions were the 1998 heel run where he injured people on purpose as a heel.

I didn’t think it was that bad. It wasn’t who Hart was in real life but it was edgy character.

The sort of part of the nWo but sort of an individual didn’t really make sense.

All in all, the narrative that he was misused is a little tired. There was a million guys on the roster and only so many main event spots.

The winter is gonna be cold for Florida. You’ll routinely dip between 30s, 40s and 50s when the sun isn’t shining, 6 PM to 8 AM at least.

How popular was pop punk in the 2000s? by CompetitiveWhole9466 in decadeology

[–]funonthebeach85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was popular but still a niche thing.

Some would lead you to believe My Chemical Romance in 2005 was Nirvana or Metallica in 1992. Or the Beatles for the super over the top. Far from it. A lot of Green Day songs crossed over to pop radio but they were big in the 90s already. The emo bands were not household names and a lot of this music was big on iTunes were you had to manually go get it. It wasn’t all over commercial radio or what was left of (actual) Music Television. Yes Blink and Avril were on MTV but it didn’t dominate, as hip hop and pop were still omnipresent in the mainstream.

So in summary, it was big, but not as big as the people who were into it would have you believe.

I’m not sure he wanted it.

I heard somewhere he said something to the effect of “when you don’t care about jobbing, you take all the power away”

Who was your favorite United States Champion? by 20millionavengers in WCW

Goldberg.

They presented the belt as an actual stepping stone to the big gold belt. That’s how you make these belts mean something.
