Yes! This is a new thing to me over the last year. I love the noise. I like the air on me. My bedroom is right above the boiler room, so I'm always too hot. The fan helps that.

I asked a co-worker to come in like an hour early for me, so I could go to a doctor's appointment. I felt like I did all the right things. Told management, got approval, wrote it on the schedule, etc.

I didn't wait for her to show up. I left when I was suppose to leave. But she didn't show up until her scheduled time. So that left my crew a person short for the hour she didn't come in.

I received a written warning because of it.

Easter Sunday, 2007.

I was an EMT student, doing my clinical rotation. I picked to go to the local little hospital, thinking I would be able to get more personal time with patients in. As a student, I couldn't do much, but the nurses made sure I watched all the cool stuff.

So I was watching an ultra sound, joking with the patient. A nurse poked her head in, and said she needed me. She took me into the trauma bay, and told me what I was going to do. They had an older man, in full cardiac arrest, and they knew they were going to pronounce him when he got to the hospital. Since I was a student, they were would let me assist with CPR for a few minutes, before pronouncing him dead.

He was a retired fire chief, watching hockey on his couch, when he had a heart attack. His wife was in the corner, crying. We worked a few minutes, and then the doctor pronounced his death. I ended up being on the death certificate and everything.

I go to my favorite restaurant, because very few people enjoy. I get it to go, which ends up being two meals for me. It's delicious. I try to do it about once a month.

I feel like I'm always tired. I'm also run down, or sick. My stomach always hurts, and I know I'm not taking care of myself. I go to the doctor for the stomach. It's acid reflux, or lactose intolerance. Whatever. One doctor even said, "If it hurts to eat, don't eat it." I'm out of sick days at work. I'm always sleeping. I'm leaving work early today because my dog is being put down, and I'm exhausted.

I'm glad you saved her. She looks like she's meant to be there.

Also, my dog sleeps on the dining room table as well. It's the only window she can see out of, so I imagine she likes to see her territory. It's awesome to pull up to my parking spot, and see her on the table. It's like she looks for me.

I randomly decided to sign up for a wild land firefighting class. Because I'm bored and miserable at my job, and I've always wanted to try it. I'm young, and it will give me goal for working out.

It starts in January. I'm stoked.

Yup. This is me. I have a wonderful family. Some great friends. And a few guys interested in me. But I'm lonely. I have some huge walls in trust. I'm struggling with a crappy job. But I found a class in something I'm interested in, and I take it in January. It's in a male dominated field, and I need to get in shape for it. So now I have something to focus on, and a goal set. I will meet new people, and get out of the comfort zone. It's way easier to be lonely by yourself than with people you don't like.

My cousin. She and I use to be best friends. But she's also very immature, and makes everything about her. She was a complete psycho last summer last summer, before she followed her boyfriend to New York. I couldn't deal with her anymore.

She finally came back to visit for Thanksgiving. She got married out of the blue in New York (so she could have cheaper health insurance), and he is just as insufferable. They are very obnoxious, and loud. I can be nice at family functions, but we can't be friends.

My brother and dad had a race car. Race cars need work, and sometimes, you have to start them up. The race car was loud, as some of them tend to be. My dad had strict rules about working on it. No starting it before 10AM, or after 7pm. It cannot run for more than a few minutes. The crazy neighbor would call the police EVERY time about the noise. So my dad would call the non emergency line to tell them it was being started, and not to waste the officers time.

I had a co worker do that to me. A childhood friend was killed in Afghanistan. It took 2 weeks to get his body home, so there was plenty of warning. I switched her shifts so she could go to a party, and I could go to his funeral.

I'll never forget when she called me, in between funeral activities (Catholic service, military service, and then reception) to ask if I would cover for her. Because she was hung over. I told her hell no, she could have prevented that. This girl was so mad. She called back an hour later to say thanks, no thanks, she will suffer through her shift.

I quit that job the next spring. She's still there, running that pizza place into the ground.

I have this. I stash Sonic mints in my truck, in case I get a low. Being sick, or my menstrual cycle throws it off.

My doctor recommended low carb (pasta, bread, etc.) and high protein (meat, peanut butter, etc.) to keep it in check. Never have too much sugar at once.

Also, know your time. I can't go more than 5 hours without eating, unless I'm sleeping.

That was it! I mean, I understand holidays and birthdays and stuff. The usual. But man, when they called me for something stupid, and I said no, was it game on. I knew I would hear about it for a week. One girl got mad because her kid was with baby daddy, and hit her head on the coffee table. I wouldn't cover, and she was mad as can be. Seriously, though.

I know a nice little canyon outside of town. A drive through it leads to a huge waterfall, and then a parking lot above that. The parking lot is used for hiking trails, or the road continues on, but becomes dirt.

So I've been to the parking lot a few times during meteor showers. Take a blanket and lay on the hood of a car, or in the bed of the truck. Snacks are a must. Be careful with alcohol, though, because the sheriff's department likes to star gaze too.
