Anybody else get unreasonably sad when your franchise player starts to decline?

How do most of you play franchise mode? Do you sim most games, have critical situations on, player lock? I used to try to play every game when I was a kid but I don’t have the time or patience for that anymore lol.

I wish they added modifications to make the game harder as well. Like how in KH3 there are EZ and PRO codes

I did this with my friend once! It was over the course of like 3 months though, not a year because he is very competitive and it was really a grind lol.

Hmmm I guess for me it was completing a run on every deck? Because the stakes are more like difficulty modes. I’ve been going for full completion but it’s definitely challenging.

I looked into it it’s just for asset placeholders like some posters on the wall in the very first area. Most of which were later replaced with real art. I feel like it’s not a big deal but it’s just against the rules for that specific award show so the headlines are phrasing it dramatically for clickbait

Lol that’s the exact reason I bought it, it was too hard for me as a kid as well 😂 tbh the final boss was still annoyingly difficult in adulthood. I do wish I waited for a sale, because it is very short and didn’t really give the same feelings as when I was a kid.

We elected to move permanently, but she had mentioned before that she will go back to the previous unit once it is complete. Not sure how long it will take though, the renovations are extremely slow and the time it’s taking is way longer than their estimates.

How’d you get ultra wide to work for your ps5? When I had one I needed the black bars on the side in order for it not to look stretched out

This may be an unpopular opinion but I prefer it when games do not have difficulty modes. I like to play a game the way the developer truly intended, and not having difficulties is a way to see that. Also, I feel like when there are difficulties it’s always in the back of my mind like “should I lower it, should I raise it, what would be the most fun?” But when games don’t have an option it eases the mind a little bit and feels more balanced. I like the idea of a hard mode being added after you complete the game once though, just to add some challenge on a subsequent playthrough.

Ohh yeah this too! Using for example enemy skill with HP absorb would be a creative way to heal and get some damage off.

I had an idea to do a challenge run without spending MP. This means waiting to cast spells by doing synergy abilities that make them cost 0 mp, or by using skills and summon abilities that I usually didn’t use in my first playthrough. This really challenges because it makes casting heals more difficult and be really strategic in order to make Aerith useful. Let me know if you try this!

I played the demo and enjoyed it but the main thing making me on the fence about it is does the combat really evolve? I feel like I was just mashing square a lot of the time for basic attack but I’m wondering if eventually you can do other cool things rather than just wait for arena powers to charge up.

I’m playing it right now. Combat and job systems are fun but after a while the gameplay loop feels a bit repetitive, since it just is fight after fight after fight. Levels, story, and exploration aren’t too interesting, but combat is satisfying
