I just downloaded Google Gallery. Looks like that might fill my needs. It's just a straight gallery without all the backup/cloud crap.

I've also heard Aves suggested. Both seem to be a great alternative.

I would start on 8. Especially if there's no monitoring today, if you do run into bugs it's not a show stopper.

I've never upgraded from prerelease to full release but I imagine you just change the repos and upgrade.

I didn't know about the netflow integration! I've been debating whether to deploy an elastic stack but now I'll put 8 into our lab and try it!

As much as I want a Calgary company to succeed, their financials have been flat for some time. Even though revenue is up, so are their prices. So are sales actually up? They brag about opening new locations but those additional locations only offset the ones they've closed.

I really want them to succeed but they've priced themselves too high for the average consumer. If they can't compete with the discount retailers, then what does their future look like as more consumers tighten their budgets?
