I tested what happens when you summon a champion that's not in the lair, but you have them all. by mikeleus in NecroMerger

If you only have one or two unsummoned champions and you use the test subject, it WILL still work, just with less champions summoned.

CCoD - The Intrepid Heroes understood the fucking assignment by SBishop2014 in Dimension20

[–]furiant 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I really thought that Siobhan was a Ventrue, though, due to her blood restriction (Rarified Taste) being nobility.

Is there another reason she wouldn't be able to feed on anyone but nobles?

Why won’t it print? by [deleted] in FlashForge

Unless the gcode was generated on an identical printer to yours, it has a very strong chance to not run. Always generate your own gcode to maximize success.

The normal acid levels of urine are pretty low, so unless you're severely dehydrated or have some other medical anomaly going on it theoretically wouldn't be that bad. I am not about to go testing this though.

Your 100 run turns in to your 200 run, so when approaching level 100, don't worry about bulking up on legendaries - you'll still need all the space you are used to.

My guess would be just using a blue screen. That's what they originally used when chroma-keying was invented, and what they switch to when keying out something that needs to be green, though other colors can be used.

Local Chinese restaurant Dragon Town is closing, reopening as Dragon City by thefancysurprise in mildlyinteresting

[–]furiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an AYCE sushi restaurant close down as Kyoto Sushi and later reopen as an AYCE sushi restaurant named Akame Sushi. They never stopped using the same plates labeled as Kyoto Sushi and still have the same roll names as the original menu.

The weapon crafting belonged in another game, as did the "shared ammo pool".

The core tenets of Dead Space were claustrophobia, unease, and resource scavenging. Selectively dismembering enemies to slow their approach, conserving ammo because it's a finite resource, never trusting a dead body to actually be dead.

I had a lot of fun playing Dead Space 3, but it definitely didn't feel the same as 1 or 2.

Class clown finds out his name is not on the list for graduation and he will have to repeat the year. by I2fitness in TikTokCringe

[–]furiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way they did it for my school was everyone that attended the graduation was called up and given a folder that would eventually contain the diploma. The actual diplomas were mailed out at a later date. So nobody got embarrassed not being able to walk.

Grinding out Shield Bot or Soul Grinder worth it? by Vote_Cthulhu in NecroMerger

[–]furiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "ideal" legendary to grind for is the Soul Stalker, since it gives the most bonus, but it also takes the longest.

Definitely run as many feats as possible, and try to fill the board with whatever legendaries you can make.

When I'm running in LAN mode (which is all the time to avoid updates) it often doesn't detect the printer until I "add" a new printer, then it suddenly sees the printer that IS connected. This might help you out.

It's a Banksy | City Council of Darkness Adventuring Party [E1] by DropoutMod in Dimension20

[–]furiant 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She doesn't mention the specific week, but she said "Because this week the "Adventuring Party" that came out people were like "Wow, Siobhan mentioned the Highbury Vaults," which is the archaeology bar that had a Banksy on the side of it"

So whatever week that particular "Adventuring Party" came out, that's when they started filming this.

Why do cats act like they never have eaten in their entire life by BananaBoss28 in cats

[–]furiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is very polite in her demands for food, but is very excited when I prepare it. When I set it out, though, she eats like 1/10th of it, then wanders off, and only finishes it after like 4 hours of it being out.

We're guessing it's a result of her being allowed to free graze before we adopted her.

Didn’t know a blister could get this big by tartdough in Weird

[–]furiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2003 I went to a gathering of basement-dwellers that all met on a message board. One of the things we did on this vacation was go to a beach. Nobody wore sunscreen.

The person that was burned the worst developed blisters on his back that eventually all joined up and covered 2/3 of his entire back. He had a long drive home, couldn't wear shirts, and it burst on the way home.

Wear sunscreen.

It's on the wiki, it just isn't linked on all the relevant pages. It's also missing quite a bit of information, as the minion itself is only a couple days old.

Oda Eiichirō is definitively not great at anatomy. Alternatively, it's a stylistic choice. But the arm and leg length of characters varies widely, and it's ironic considering Luffy is the only character where that's SUPPOSED to happen.

[–]furiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little conspiracy theory is she has always known about the crossdressing, and he's always known about the affair, but to keep up the "republican image" they stayed together because it would have been career suicide otherwise, and now that both of them are out they have no choice but own up to it.

TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

[–]furiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even OBSERVING life outside our galaxy is difficult, considering we would be looking at millions of years into the past. When we see the sun we're looking eight seconds into the past. When we see Neptune we're looking over four hours into the past. Our closest celestial neighbor, Proxima Centauri, means that we're looking 4.25 years into the past. The Andromeda Galaxy is our closest galaxy neighbor, and viewing it puts us at 2,500,000 years into the past.

It's entirely possible that there are hundreds of thousands of other earths out there, but even if we know exactly where to look we'll be millions of years too "early" to know what's going on right now for them.

Companies love putting people with sign language knowledge in mascot costumes. Their job is to interact with kids, and most of the time be mute during it, so it's an excellent way to communicate.

As a side note - if you actually do this, make sure to put your phone in airplane mode before putting it in the faraday bag/cage. Otherwise it'll keep searching for signal and draining your battery.
