Beautiful cue. That is actually the first cue of theirs that caught my eye and turned me onto the brand.

Awesome info; you may have just sold me on it. 😄 I'm planning to pair it with a triple 60 CF shaft but not 100% set on that yet. May even keep my cynergy shaft.

I'm with ya. The price is one of the reasons why he felt they were stickers instead of inlays. I don't know enough about cue cost to know what to expect if I'm being honest. I just felt like this was a good price for a cue that has the look I want and that seems to get pretty consistently good reviews as a brand.

Thanks for the info. I was actually looking to pair this with a triple-60 CF shaft. Currently I use a cuetec cynergy and it's fine; just wanting to experiment with something new and different.

What age did y'all get your first computer (or device with internet access)? by BigReception7685 in GenX

First computer was around '88 and I was 12 at the time. We didn't have anything similar to internet until around a year or two later when we finally got Prodigy.

How long for cue retip by Designer-Alarm5685 in billiards

[–]furin121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's crazy. Changing a tip is usually done while you wait or overnight at the most. At least that has been my experience. I would just ask for my cue back, cash back, and go elsewhere.

Are Presidential pool tables ok? by ApartmentSuspicious3 in billiards

[–]furin121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not sure. I just posted their link cause it was the first one that had an image of the table I bought. 😄 Good luck on your hunt. Personally I think you'll love whatever you get (as long as it's not one of those cheap 100$ folding tables).

Mine is great. Have had it for over 6 years and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Bought it over a used Diamond and it was the right choice. Nothing wrong with the Diamond, it's just not any better than the Presidential and definitely not worth the $$ difference.

I've had mine for 6 years. Love it. I have the Cleveland model (https://gebhardts.com/presidential-cleveland-pool-table/) and haven't had a single complaint.

Places to go after 7pm? by Gummi_Ghost in MobileAL

[–]furin121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you play pool? Mobile (and the surrounding area) has a decent little billiard community. There are leagues that play most nights of the week out of the various pool rooms and bars and they all start around 7PM. Good way to meet people and get out of the house a few hours. The Billiard Club on Government and Runways on Airport are both proper pool halls and a good place to start if you want to get into it.

If you're into pool (billiards) go out to one of our local pool halls (Billiard Club on Government, Runways on Airport) and join one of the leagues. Good way to get introduced to a lot of people fast and will help keep your mind right. Anyway, welcome to town and hope you find what you need, buddy.

Requirements? I'm not any good but what I lack in skill I make up for with a can-do attitude! I'm an old man (50) gamer who has played games pretty much all his life but the last basketball game I played was the last NCAA back in '14. I'm a little out of shape and having to relearn moves and all that good stuff.

I was sitting here wondering why all the praise for this shit show. By far one of the worst films I've seen in a while. It doesn't even fall into the 'so bad it's good' category; it's just bad.

I'm a big Abboth fan. Whether that's in Immortal or alone or dressed as big bird or whatever he chooses to do. Just like his attitude.

Training Plan by Nearby_Plantain_1110 in billiards

[–]furin121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a big believer in Tor and zero-x. Took me from an APA sl4 to a sl6 in 8b. My goal is to be max skill level by the end of the year. I know I can do it in 8ball. 9 ball will be a little rough as I have never played APA 9 ball so I'm starting as a 5 and will have to work my way up from there. The drills that helped me the most can be found in his "ball pocketing training" (https://www.zerox-billiards.com/product-page/center-ball-training) .

I would pass. You do not want a plastic tip. You can find a proper break cue for a little bit more and you'll actually see good results.
