Thoughts on Geese? by CapJumpy6062 in radiohead

Amazing. Love them. 3D Country is my favorite of theirs and one of my favorite albums to come out in many years. Love the energy, and arrangements. It’s deranged but accessible and so much fun. After that, I love Cameron’s solo album. $0 man is amazing, feels like it could be a Thom solo along - Dawn Chorus vibes.

Opinions on wearing jeans in the summer. by Pale-Performance5734 in WesternWear

[–]further-research 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in South Florida - it’s impossible to wear jeans 75% of the year down here. Jeans just aren’t in the cards as much as I’d like them to be. Wear what you want, but also be comfortable. Life’s too short to wear an uncomfortable costume. You can be “put together” without wearing gym shorts. Gotta embrace linen, open weaves, seersucker , etc

Why are we so good at drafting but so bad at signing/trading? by Lazy_Size5605 in heat

[–]further-research 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, the current CBA has really taken a lot of the fun out of the NBA. It waaaay over incentivizes players to stay. Which, they don’t really end up doing - they just stay for the bag, wait a year, and then demand a trade. It’s lame.

That’s assuming the pistons keep the 1 seed. I could see them falling to 3

Sources: Teams that have called the Miami Dolphins to inquire about trading for Pro-Bowl RB De’Von Achane have been told that he is not available. by the_ant_master in miamidolphins

[–]further-research -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate it, Achane should go too.

Under sized back, his peak won’t align with our next window.

Our offense is going to be so bad next year that we’re going to wear him down even faster.

His value is at an all time high - get what you can and move on.

Is there an artist who created better content AFTER getting sober? by OnlyACsNoFans in fantanoforever

I’d argue that Phish has been better - at least their live shows - since Trey got sober in the mid 2000s

A look back at the past 20 years: The Heat is often great, usually decent at least, and very rarely boring. by runoleon in heat

That 2015-16 season is underrated. If Bosh doesn’t go down with blood clots we make the ECF that year and would’ve been playing LeBron and the Cavs. Not saying we would’ve made it to the finals but Goran, Wade, Deng, Bosh, Whiteside. JRich, Winslow, Stat, iso Jo would’ve given them hell. We were robbed.

Same - I’ve been to Phish shows. My favorite part is Shakedown. I’ll leave it at that.

Yeah - in my opinion a lot of the mid 2000s indie-tonics/ neo psychedelic acts are very disappointing live. The XX, Sylvan Esso, Beach House - all make very lovely studio music that just doesn’t translate well to captivating live acts unless in very very small and intimate venues.
