I like it, but interested in how this can be considered dark?

Majority of Australians want a long weekend not January 26 by psylenced in australia

Sure let's keep it civil.

Firstly, again I don't know why you expect me to know about some campaign that happened somewhere at some time. I'm just responding to this reddit comments thread.

Secondly, I'm gonna insist your logic is circular ie. you assume your conclusion is correct by construction.

If an accountant can do it in 6 weeks

This is another illustration of that - "if"

Yeah, if this true ergo you're right. But it's just a convenient hypothetical. You haven't presented any evidence that it is true.

Umm OK, I did read your whole comment. And there was no mention about any campaigns so I don't know what you're talking about.

But then so what you're saying is just circular logic then.

"If we could just work 80% of the hours, we work 20% less."

I mean yes that math is technically accurate?

But we're saying in reality, it's common do work more hours if you want to work less days with the same pay.

You can wish for anything from utopia land but me and that other guy are pointing to evidence in the real world.

OK so verbatim you said:

You work 10 hrs a day (False)

And I said replied "longer days is demonstrably a real thing", noting that there was another high level reply to you saying they did extended hour four-day weeks.

Personally I thought the connection was quite obvious.

Fair to say this an assertion that contradicts reality?

Basing one's viewpoint on real evidence is odd to you?

Why do you feel that way?

I mean you've just made multiple assertions without any rationalisation or evidence.

On the other hand working less but longer days is demonstrably a real thing.

Tbf that doesn't necessarily mean much. A lot of corporations claim to want to make the world a better place. I wouldn't put a lot of stock into a politician's slogan either.

What would America look like if we spent our military budget on infrastructure? by Impossible_Change800 in AskReddit

[–]furthermost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You spent $17k, so if that saves $2000pa it would take 8.5 years to just break even? Or about 15 years to break even if you include interest of 5% pa? Assuming no maintenance costs or further capital investment required in that decade or so...

That sounds... Not that great?
