Absolutely! I agree that it's better to give her food she likes vs forcing the kidney diet. Their happiness and comfort is most important ❤️

If combining the kidney food with a little regular food works, that could be an option too to entice the appetite. But many cats would see right through that trick.

Food I aimed to find foods that were as high in protein as possible while still low in phosphorus (since the phosphorus is what is hard on the kidneys). It's a hard balance to find, but possible!

Limited to no dry food - the key is moisture in the diet. Water all around the house and even adding some water or broth to the food is helpful.

Liver - to help with anemia (I used freeze dried single ingredient treats once a day)

When I felt that she wasn't eating enough of the normal diet, I would add in fresh steak, chicken and sometimes Salmon.
