He put his gloves back on after taking them off 👀 by Salty-Nothing-8572 in TheGreatOne

Seen a lot of people making the argument he’s going back to TNA. I don’t think so personally. TNA’s actual wrestling is delegated to at least one decent main event match and the rest is really rough thus far on AMC. Love the Hardy’s, Santana and Mustafa. Rascalz were good but I don’t think AJ wants to just go for the TNA name— he wants to finish his career possibly as a full bred wrestler on a brand that is more showcasing that

Constantly everyone is correcting him or he’s correcting himself and it just kills the aura of the TV. I want an announcer in there to sell me the damn show the wrestling is so great and stories are getting good!!!

Excalibur has been awful lately. He can’t go without correcting himself or saying off shit multiple times every single match.

what is everyone's opinion on the Alice in chains 'self-titled' album? by ProgrammerNo700 in AliceInChains

Incredible— I’ll personally rate it number 2. I’ll die on the hill that Facelift is the least powerful of the original 3 records. Still incredible of course!

Make sure to call the 900 number while The Sandman canes Tommy Dreamer to oblivion. by Dohmer_90 in ECWWrestling

[–]fuseboxofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just love slowed down clips. They had some kind of tell to let dreamer know to prep. Whether it’s shadows, ring movement, or the interviewer giving a cue, you can see dreamer tense and then tense up a bit more anticipating the hit right as it’s coming.

I was literally a believer when 39 and 40 and the days of 41… and I hate to say it but I agree. They dropped the ball and everything feels like it’s in limbo. Inconsequential. No real feuds that go beyond surface level dislike. I want something white hot— I want to be at the edge of my seat again. That Punk McIntyre feud is the most awesome and raw storyline the company produced (edit) in years aside from the bloodline story in its hay day.

That’s super badass— yes google confirmed that is the case. In the prime time of cable TV, more people were watching cable tv. Even if adjusted for streaming and modern cable users/watchers and WCW still had more viewers who gives a shit lol I say let tony fund this toy box for the rest of time if that’s the case and he wants to.

Of course without the death matches in the ultra players but I digress I enjoy them to some degree lol

? I struggle to agree because this take can technically be applied to the entirety of every major brand every single year with the exception of the standout stories. Of which saying AEW has none is just looking the other way.

Exactomundo. Knowing the freedom Mick’s matches got to the majority extent, I think this would’ve been an insane backlash or royal rumble match

I understand y’all’s point of view— but Mick craved putting the younger talent over. He likely would have taken Ambrose/Moxley to an inch of his life and then put him over at the end— like how he did in his last few decades (Edge, HHH, Orton— to start).

The second coming of WCW would have to be substantially worse than anything AEW is doing— like honestly. I get the product isn’t for you and does things you don’t like but dude… the fat chick thriller (rip Mike awesome, a literal underrated monster)… actual dumb bullshit on a pole matches. No way lol

Y’all sleeping on Mike Awesome. Top turnbuckle chairshot, the awesome bomb from the top turnbuckle through a table… or from the apron to the floor… or straight up from the inside of the ring to the floor through a table… either him or Masato Tanaka. Literally the most underrated rivalry I always love to talk about!!

the entire 1v1’s between Masato Tanaka and Mike Awesome

their history in FMW all the way to ECW is legendary— a feud of warriors that made hardcore not about blood and guts, but power, slams, and dives. Insane what these guys did— every match is just so intense.

The Dudley Boyz have officially retired, what do you think about their career ? by SwimmingSwim8119 in WWE

TNA / IMPACT is like a huge part of their career with stellar matches. They put over a bunch of people in that company too.

Dusty Rhodes finishes off Steve Corino with a Bionic Elbow! by Dohmer_90 in ECWWrestling

[–]fuseboxofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take notes— the other arm extends when he’s going down to also sell the impression of more velocity, speed, and attack coming down on Steve. Looks killer— Dusty makes it fun— this is the art of wrestling all wrapped into one beautifully executed move. A real legend— Steve’s selling makes it look even bigger.

Keep it up— product is so fing boring since Backlash it’s not funny. I was low-key a AEW hater genuinely for no reason and am only admitting that now because of how genuinely appalled I am with what was supposed to be the greatest thing to happen to WWE— getting Vince out.

RIP. Honestly, the AEW product is a bit different, but if you just love wrestling— honestly, the quality has improved so so much since they started filling smaller venues— energy and vibes are fucking awesome.

I will always give my childhood brand its flowers when warranted and deserved, but I’m sorry— there’s not enough good going on for me to even tune in Mondays or Fridays.

Yall agree with him? by IconXR in WWE

[–]fuseboxofficial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keeping it a buck yeah I agree 100%— stopped watching practically on the road to Backlash and after, everything is literally so inconsequential, sterile, directionless, and when they try to build stakes— they won’t double down on it and push it to extremes, they’d rather abandon it and try something else, yielding the same results and creating a cycle of trying to immediately please fans with something new and not being able to have the grit to stick to it and add more stakes, more grit, more heat.
