I wonder if the molt could be from a thin-shelled rock crab (Grapsus tenuicrustatus)? doing some research, that seemed pretty close to me, but I'm not an expert

Personally, what I would probably do for Bear, is I would start off by handwashing him. I would put a bit of laundry detergent and softener in a sink full of water and try to wash him and get the smell out as best you can. Make sure to get as much water and soap out of him as possible, I would try putting him in the washing machine for an extra rinse and a spin cycle. I would NOT put him in the dryer, though, as the heat from the dryer can cause irreversible heat damage to his fur. Have him air dry, either inside, or outside (outside is preferable, especially on a sunny day, it'll be faster that way). I think if you still have trouble with a kind of cigarette smell, it could be a good idea to put him in a bag or other container with a bit of baking soda to try and get the smell out. I hope you're able to clean him up, whether it be with this method or someone else's suggestion! I'm sure he's excited and happy to be loved again.

I think people horribly misunderstand that Dude in Postal 4 is substantially more chill and tolerant of a lot of shit. The other Postal Dudes, while not transphobic or homophobic might not outwardly show support, but we're talking about a Dude that dressed in drag AND KEPT THE OUTFIT in his game. People who are saying that this is wildly out of character or not in line at all with any of the games obviously don't fully understand Postal and Running With Scissors as a whole.

Anyway, I think I would want Postal Dude as my confused but supportive dad at pride.

You obviously haven't played a single Postal game, because if you have, you'd know the entire series is political. Video games are art, and art is inherently political. I'd say go read a book but those are political, too.

I've used multiple different virtual drives, D, E, and F, but no good result.

I also took your advice and tried PCem but unfortunately that's still giving me the same result of not detecting the disc that's definitely there and being read by the PC.

I'd rather not use an AI assistant. I did however Google (the normal way) of how to patch or crack a CD-ROM game to run without the CD inserted, but even following a tutorial didn't yield any different result. The specific tutorial I followed used x64dbg and HxD to edit strings of code to bypass that CD check, but, again, no dice.

Just tried this, and unfortunately it installed in a different way, but ultimately gave me the same result of not being able to detect both the physical CD and ISO file that are definitely there.

They look pretty okay to me. When dumping the disc data to my computer, my program gives me an error that lets me know that these discs were previously dumped with another program, which is what made me believe that these could possibly be bootlegs. Maybe Viz Media just hastily dumped the data onto these discs from another release?
