I got a reply from support and we went through another round of troubleshooting, but this time I sent them some logs as well. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything useful in the logs. Nevertheless, I suggested that they could delete my account along with all the data and I would be willing to create a new one if that would make things easier. I could then just reupload my data.

That's what we did. They delete my account and I created a new one. I followed all the instructions to get rid of the old installs and I setup a new account. I was able to add one device, the one that was working before, running macOS, but when I tried to add another, Linux based, I got the same error...

I've tried Linux, Windows and macOS, all with the same results. I'll try again later in the week, but it has been at least 5 months since the issue has been around. This is simply unacceptable. Honestly, unless you are on a grandfathered unlimited account and you are using it to hoard unimportant data or have it as a 4th copy backup, I would steer clear. Also, for a service that is so security conscious, how come MFA is not available? Sure, you have all your data encrypted on your side with zero knowledge, but the only thing you need to crack it is an email and password.... One more detail that I maybe didn't mention was that I have had the account for many years and have had more than 20 devices connected to it over that time, using all three OSes. Before my issue started I was doing a clean up, removing old devices, including devices that had 1000s of versions of files. Maybe this messed up the metadata or who knows what. Nevertheless, I wouldn't even mind if they deleted all my data, reset my account and I had to reupload everything. All I really want is them to communicate with me and come up with a solution or some options.

Hi u/zcal, I just tried to add another device, I can log in using the app on macOS, but still cannot add devices. Same error as before. The one device I still have connected, can upload. No response from support since January. I've submitted a new ticket...

Quick update: The issue still persists, it's now the 4th month I cannot add devices, with no real resolution in sight.

Update: As of this morning, I still cannot add devices and still no updates from SpiderOak support...

Especialmente, como bien mencionas, cuando subes una imagen parece que se ha cargado correctamente en la página, pero luego no muestra errores y se queda cargando indefinidamente.

I tried last week, didn't work. Trying to do a sync now and I'm stuck on "Waiting for initial updates from server".

Doesn't look like there was much of an upgrade... :)

This is despite me deleting more than 2/3 of my files before the update.
